Proper day/night cycles is a must have for me in mmorpgs. And by "proper" i don't mean these 1hr cycles.
I was so disappointed when Blizzard removed dark nights from WoW, altough in the Legion zones nights are having a comeback. Old zone's nights are still bright as daylight

I used to love playing WoW with the real time day/night cycle. Didn't realise they'd got rid of it.

Everquest had day/night cycles, lighting, racial visions, spells that would provide light and a weather system, back in 1999. You're not dong anything impressive here...
