So how is SWTOR really doing?

The game has been out for sometime now and x-packs has been rolling in during the years of It's life.
I came back a week ago, haven't played in a year, got the Star Wars itch, so the point I left off a year ago were the Eternal Empire story arc, no spoilers, but I started at chapter 11 for those who knows what is.

I'm at this time quite stunned how well the story shapes up, how well done the voiceovers  are, so I thought to myself, this game cant be dying or on life support, clearly  is that some major effort is made into this game and soon another x-pack due to arrive.
Sure no new planets or flashpoints as of yet per say, but still the production value is still quite high.

A dying game cant get this much attentions from EA to produce this high value content.

Anyone else gets the same feeling?

I honestly think swtor is fine but I'll never go back to it, the new battlefront is enough for me to scratch the star wars itch, unless its going to be SWG 2.0(which is unlikely), I'll never play a star wars mmo ever again.

Would be even better if all their servers would be merged, not that I would play swtor again cause they merged the servers but a suggestion for them.

It was really disappointing throughout the months I've played it due to my expectations but my unbiased opinion thinks its doing just fine for what it is.
The acronym MMORPG use to mean Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

But the acronym MMMORPG now currently means Microscopic Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Kappa.

It's been the MMO my wife have been sub to for the past year. Still doing awesome, updates, population and content. IMO it's the most modern trinity game out. So for me it's home.

If you go by how much cash the Cartel Market brings in for  the game then it is doing pretty well for it's population size. And it appears that the game should continue to thrive as a money maker until at least 2018 when Visceral Games releases what appears to be a proper  ( looks to be more of a trinity canon driven game than what SWTOR is ) version of the Star Wars experiences. Of course we do not yet know if that game will be an MMO, coop or just a regular rpg with a cash shop, but it will be interesting to see none the less how they will compete   against each other.

Honestly, the most recent expansion pack was quality and what the game should  have been released as in the first place. It is also very short. They really missed out on making a fantastic single player game by choosing to limit themselves so much by making an MMO. Current MMO standards are seriously disappointing while RPG in single player games is blossoming.

I usually go back once or twice a year for a month or so. I have lots of cartel currency, but I don't really know what to spend it on since I don't really care about cosmetic stuff.
