PC is not listed on the reveal site. Xbox and PS4 only. Prolly PC port later. its rockstar
Even the first game is not yet on PC so I suppose it won't be soon.
With the success of GTA V on PC it would be a huge missed opportunity if they did not support the PC as well. I would expect that to be announced if not at a later date.
The Xbox One Windows 10 thing also keeps me optimistic.
Why would they want jaded moaning PC gamers who think PC gamers should come first. This is the time of the consoles, why would PC gamers miss out on games because of they're superior mentality concerning consoles.
The first game which I still play is a great game you have missed out on.

I hate to break it to you but:
The time of the consoles was from 1977 to about 1994 -98 until games like Doom 2, Diablo and Links LS enticed many who would never even think about buying a personal computer to do so.
The time of the PC had nothing to do with games and everything to do with email and browsing the world wide web.
Today is the time when there is not much physical difference between Console or PC just artificial purposely made differences.

The first game wasn't ported to PC because the developing company behind it made such a mess of the code that it was impossible to port. This time a different company is doing the coding for Rockstar.

You're referring to the 2 "next gen" consoles who from day 1 where already behind medium range PC's ? Who struggle to keep 60 frames at 1080p, something pc's do for almost a decade now ?

The console of 1999 has had its time, but new consoles aren't anything like those. The PS4 and XB1 are media centers. You don't need an extra BD player. You don't need another set top box (Roku, Fire, etc). Plus there is the casting and integration with Windows 10 for the XB1 and with Vue and Sony services with the PS4.
The console as a media, entertainment, and gaming hub has finally started to come into its own.
The only real difference between the two platforms these days is software. A PC can do anything a console can do and vice versa. Of course one could blow a bundle and make a high end gaming PC but it looks like the console's are going that route too. Which is all great as far as I'm concerned.
Exclusivity is something I can't stand period, no matter the topic.

And now we have the PS4 Pro and the XBOX1 S and then next year an even bigger upgrade for the XBOX. Anyone who thinks this is not the time when devs are more interested in making games for consoles is delusional.
All you get by sticking to one format is bad PC ports. Why anyone who claims to love gaming would gimp themselves by only owning a PC is beyond me.
Consoles are not the right word anymore it's Media centres with console capabilities all from the comfort of your living room. A

A console is a PC for those of us that are not prejudiced. I can play my PC in my living room exactly like a console. IMHO Microsoft are actually doing something intelligent by wanting to meld the two together through Windows 10. That decision is what will bring me into the Xbox market.
I've owned Playstations but have never owned an Xbox.

Yeah Microsoft finally woke up for PC Gaming, especially as the market numbers have grown and the profit margin is no longer the gap that existed before between consoles.
It is a smart bet to buy X game on console and get it on PC and vice-versa, and can give a clear boost to Windows 10 that already with DX12 can be the best OS choice for gaming if they continue pushing on XBOX as they are.
It's actually really hard to develop an XBox One title and not accidentally finish a copy for the PC. You are either doing 1 of 2 things. To get the most out of the XBox One, you should be developing it as a Windows Unified Platform title. This minimizes a lot of distribution costs and gives access to several APIs. By default, such a title will automatically be playable on Windows 10 and Windows Mobile if the device meets the system requirements which are set by Microsoft not the developer. You would need to specifically close off that selling route.
That said, Red Dead Redemption 2? Why not Red Dead Revenge, or Red Dead R-something? I thought that was the basic naming system since Red Dead Redemption 2 will be the 3rd installment in the series. I guess this means the illiterate lead artist was right on the games name.

Except they are probably making the game using their own RAGE game engine, which supports Dx11.
Probably means the game will be designed for use primarily on the PS4, and ported to the XB1, i wouldn't hold breath for a UWP version, which is most likely why there are no apparent plans for a PC version

Because if not then it's buying Console version, and then buying again the PC version, well they want to make money so...
But as Microsoft is desperate to get people using Windows 10, gold opportunity!
