Actually this game is a huge open world game, similar to Lineage 2. The combat has 3 styles. You can change on the fly. Action combat, Tab target, and Point and click.
Her is a fly through of the world.
This is what I find so annoying about most Eastern MMOs.
They obviously have the skill and technology to create gorgeous worlds... and then they go and spoil it with goofy and/or anachronistic character models and costumes that makes it extra hard for me to take the games seriously.
Whenever I try to play them it's like I constantly have to tell myself "I won't let that hoverboard in a fantasy setting annoy me" or "that fish costume isn't too hideous" or "That loli doesn't bother me."
Just once I'd like to see them do a dark fantasy theme in those gorgeous worlds and stick to it... that'd be something special.

I won a beta key so I'm going to try but I can't say I have high hopes for the game at all. These Korean games are pretty much all exactly the same, they put all of the focus into the combat one way or another, and the stories and questlines are god awful and have no meaning, make no sense, and are poorly translated at best. Not to mention I've yet to see an Asian MMO do raids right like we do in the West.

Your right , its worse , Its a Russian Game pretending to be a Korean game , trying to appeal to Western audience .....................it has no chance

It was developed by Netease, which is a Chinese company.

So it's a Russian game developed by a Chinese company? Wow, I have so much faith now.
The scaling system they appear to be using will make things a bit more interesting after 30 since you can party with people of all levels and progress towards end game stuff at that point.

My.com is headquartered in Amsterdam and has an office in California.
Open world pvp is NOT optional, you need to flag yourself to be able to attack other players, but you cant opt out of it, everyone can attack you and you can attack everyone
This is true, however the penalty for randomly killing players who don't fight back is pretty extreme. You don't get anything from killing them either, so running around just randomly griefing lower level players is pretty stupid. You could end up losing experience and gear as well. We don't know how close the NA/EU version will be to the Chinese version, but getting ganked is not an issue on the Chinese client. I've never been attacked by anyone like that randomly.
Yes and there a bunch of Russians ... so what , where they are makes little difference ...... So now we have a Chinese game , by a Russian publisher located in NA and Amsterdam , with a game pretending to be Korean trying to appeal to a Western audience ..
Game will be forgetable in 4 months and a bunch of people will sitting around wondering why the wasted there time and money on it ... Have seen this repeat itself dozens of times now

Yeah, it's just a weekend experiment for me. TERA, ArcheAge, BDO, they all lasted between a week to a month for me and I was totally over it. I'm not a huge fan of the asian art style, though -- probably has something to do with it. Oh, and the fact that most of the games are also just huge steaming piles in general.
I still plan to try it out, if i get a key. No real reason not to. If its terrible, which it very well could be, then all I lost was a few days of playing something new. If its good, then I get first hand experience, and enjoy playing something new. Either way, I play something new, which is about all we have had for the last 5-8 years.
If you don't like pvp and don't want to participate, then don't play this game. Its really that simple. There are other games, pretty much ALL of them that don't have forced pvp. There are those of us that do want this kind of pvp and don't have many options on the market. I mean, can we please have ONE game that reminds us of L2 and older games? Without the PVE only crowd pushing devs to change it to make it another dumbed down pvp tacked on type of game.

I wasn't sure if I should give you an awesome or an agree so you get an awesome.
Look at Dark Souls or Dragon's Dogma, just wonderful art design. It's one of the reasons I truly love playing Asian games.
but seeing a police car mount zip by while I'm trying to avoid a character in sweatpants is sometimes trying. Oh well. I, of course, hope people enjoy Revelation online.

AA? BDO? Aion? Just to name a few - that was my point ... 99% of the Asian MMO's have this forced PvP which is always a !#$&show in the West. How does having separate servers affect you - other than, you know, the PvP servers failing because of lack of players.
