Well the lag issue is still there, special when you are doing ET or Epic Dungeons. It's just horrible. The game itself it's just to easy !!!! I mean common you can get to level 65 in 2 days doing the Main story line and some side quests on the down low. And you get decent gear at level 65. At that point it just depends if you roll full Legendary Gear or craft Set items. The crafting system is horrible, you craft a set for you class and the Main stat for your class is not ensured. Like what the fuck. I farm shitload of epic instances where the main craft items drop rate is low when i craft that shit instead of INT I get dexterity and Health ? That is some utter bullshit. Also the set items piece bonus stats are utter trash. I mean for example i roll War Mage and i'm at 175K CP. The skills that are 'buffed' by the set bonus are some skills that are not used for most builds, because there are far more valuable skills to use. So crafting the set mainly only benefits you if it gives like 10% int at 4 pieces or something which are rare at the moment as far as i saw. Legendary items with skill FX's are uber rare and usually on the bad skills which are not used generally. At the moment at level 65 which is the level gap, apart from doing the daily things in the Duty room there is nothing else to do. The 1v1 arena is just plain bad.
I must have downloaded the wrong game because my game looks horrible, combat is stiff and clunky and I could not bear it for more then 30 minutes before I uninstalled. ASTA was a perfect AAA title in comparison. This game does not pose any threat to D3, PoE, GD or any other ARPG. Hell, I lasted longer in Devilian which I also disliked.
Asian fodder game, been there and done that. No thanks!
/Cheers, Lahnmir
Regardless of how good or bad this game may be, i don't think it's Asian fodder. Keep in mind that MU is older than WoW. MU Legends is just a follow up to the original game. Sort of like a refreshed version or sequel?. When this game(the original MU) came out Diablo 2 was the closest thing to it, but D2 was not an mmo. Lineage 1 released about 5 days before the original MU in 2003.
Major issues for oceanic players playing on the US servers. Several bosses and lieutenants that have very short escape windows on their attacks. The latency from AU/NZ may make it a deal breaker for playing this game as I've been hit (and occasionally 1 hit) when I'm a long way from the area of attack, i.e. using a War Mage's Full Throttle to blink while fighting bosses, and I'll get hit what feels like 1/2 sec after I've blinked.
Latency effect is odd those since my attacks seem to register instantly and it's only really boss/lieutenant attacks that really seem to be affected by the lag.
To start with it is Webzen, secondly the game looks and plays exactly like a bunch of other games. I could pick a number of them and this article would fit them hand and glove.
