What is EVE Online?
EVE online is a large multiplayer game set in a huge galaxy very far from our own where you can do almost limitless things! There is space exploration, resource gathering, player versus Gurista fighting action and player versus player battles! It is run by a company called CCP who like to let the world run mostly on its own two feet. This means such things as scamming and suicide to take out other peoples gear is totally acceptable! Gosh!
Eve online has been running since 2003 which makes it one of the oldest and longest running MMO's in History.

Free to play
Eve is going free to play on the 15th of November. What that means is in effect you can play the game for free with a limited "skillset" and should you want all features for your character you will have to purchase a subscription or farm enough ingame currency to buy a subscription without real money.
Currently there is a 21 day free trial available which means what you can sign up for a trial here and once the game goes free to play your account will automatically get converted to a free account.
What to do once you join
We have a corporation called Ascendance that is part of the largest alliance in the game Goonswarm federation at over 18,000 players. We are currently one of the fastest growing corporations in the game with between 30-50 new players joining us every week.
Join our public recruitment channel "Ascendance recruitment" once you are in the game or drop "uncle pilot" an evemail once you are in and we will get you sorted out. Everything will be explained once you join, but basically we will give you a starter pack with everything you need to get you started in this amazing game.

I'd call the upcoming change more of an unlimited free trial rather than F2P, heck CCP won't let these accounts take full use of the cash shop or character bazaar.
