I just went to install the DVD version, and I notice bonus videos you can play. The videos are choppy and then my comp just resets itself. I tried it again and the same thing. I say forget it, then go to install. It gets one notch done, then freezes. Have to turn it off manually. Then I try it again. Same thing. Can anyone please help me out? Any suggestions??

how much ram you got?

I'm playing with 512k ram so that's not the problem.
First, reboot your system to make sure that nothing is lingering in memory. Next, turn off all extraneous programs that may be running, like virus checkers, spyware blockers, etc. They sometimes interfere with installation. If you still can't install, try copying the disk to your hard drive and installing from there.
If you still have problems, recheck the more obvious things, like whether your system meets all the minimum requirements.
Lastly, you might have just gotten a bad disk. You can try installing it on another computer to see if the disk actually works, or return it to the store for an exchange. Although stores won't usually refund your money on software, they will usually do an exchange for a defective disk.
Good luck!
Well it could be a number of things, you could simply need to re-install your DVD drivers or it's quite possible your DVD fritzed out on you (note the highly technical term ). Have you tried an actual DVD movie disc in there ?
Also, if you've installed any sort of graphics updates or dvd viewing software recently, roleback to see if that helps.

Assuming you have a broadband internet connection, and an EverQuest II account or cd-key, you could simply download the game client from FilePlanet. If that doesn't work, you could get a copy of the launcher file from somone who has the game installed, and run it to download the entire game from the patch servers.
Sorry I couldn't help you more with your DVD problem, but that should suffice you to atleast be able to play the game

Always run with scissors. The quicker you go, the quicker you'll get to your destination and the quicker you'll finish using the scissors, therefore significantly reducing your chances of injuring yourself
Ok just to clarify your talking about the video's and not the game itself doing this right? Your trying to play a movie file of some sort on the DVD?
Sounds like a codec problem to me. I would check and make sure the video codec you are using is a good copy of it. And if not find a better one. Media player has an updater for codecs and there are also third party ones like DivX.

Well there's no dvd playback issue that I know of on the new drivers but it's hard to tell with drivers sometimes. I would suggest going to http://www.nvnews.net to find out about nvidi drivers and software, pretty good site and the forums are an excelent point of reference.
As for your issue, regardless of anything else, it does sound like a dvd playback problem, try this.
Go to http://www.nvidia.com and download the newest driver set for your video card, make sure you download them somewhere that you'll find easily . Once thats done, go to your control panel, open up your add/remove software program. Remove your current nvidia driver set, please take care here if you have an nvidia run motherboard you don't want to remove it's divers.
Once un-installed, retstart your computer without installing the new drivers. When your computer reboots you'll get a new hardware found alert, just cancel out of that, when the prompts are gone find your downloaded driver set and then obviously install and follow the directions.
Hopefully this might fix any miss alocated files that might have occured during your last install. If this still doesnt work, try repeating the entire process but download a slightly older nvidia driver, which is alos available on there website, 76.13 I think, or something along those lines.
And of course if none of this works, post again and see if we can work something else out for yah
