The graphics in this game alone are spectacular, there are dungeons, raids, battles, arena's, you are given a horse at lvl 20 i believe, 30 you get wings, easy to find quests, large map, nice drops from dungeons, I am not sure why you didn't like this game and also if your in the NA beta right now i would expect that there is still chinese but hey I don't speak the language and i can get through quests. Beta will have lag its expected. There are various prices also for the packages and atm I dont see any games out there that are quite as fun The characters vary from one to another depending on how you build them which is also a plus, really there is alot to this game.
BDO is a cash grab, grind the heck out of mobs to gain little XP, I quit the other day tired of the grind and working on gear. In order to be the best in this game expect to spend hours making money to upgrade your gear and hope it doesn't fail x 10 or you will have to start at PRI again. Graphics aren't bad.
Have to disagree with you, graphics in this game are not spectacular. BDO graphics far surpass this one. Especially the character customization. Animations in this game are not nearly as nice or fluid as BDO either. And in BDO characters vary from one to the other all the same, depending on how you build and play them. Combat in BDO is far better than RO. At least with BDO I am not clicking in vain waiting for the basic attack cooldown timer to refresh. Now while I never play an MMO to be 'the best', I play for the fun, but I am sure to be the 'best' in RO, it will take endless hours grind and luck with equipment all the same, or a good sum of money at the cash shop.
I try to avoid games that have heavy handed cutesy anime style. don't know why because I'm pretty forgiving of graphics. Cutesy Anime, however, drives me insane..
Beta Test glad I got to try it out. Same ol poorly scripted quests. Nothing new here to see, Archeage is better and that ain't saying much. Looks like this won't be around long. I found it pretty damn far from breathtaking.
...only reason for me not to play the game is that it's a Russian hosed game. With the way Russian laws handle data privacy (or rather lack of it - ANY governmental institute can request data without a court warrant) I'm avoiding those publishers like the pest...
does this is made from same development company that made and the Starforge OR they just got same publisher my.com ??
I think you mean Skyforge. Skyforge is developed by the Allods Team in Russia. Revelation Online meanwhile is developed by Netease, a company from China.
So they are developed by two different companies, but have the same publisher.
People are given a beta key and then complain that it isn't ready...really? Don't play betas if you wanted a game that was ready to play.
Do you really think the game will be worth playing ? I can't find one MMO worth playing that is developed properly, not even BDO with 192 pearl shop limit, and violating European Laws by installing that XingCode without writing it in their EULA lol. I still find it very shocking that every game company is getting away with this.
Like I understand its beta and there will be bugs but I was watching videos of the game on YouTube that looked so boring, looked as if it was Alpha GamePlay (Looked worse than Earth Rise to me lol.)
I was looking at Revelation TBH the graphics looked good, but its the combat that looked really boring to me.
I've been playing this game on and off for 6 months now while waiting for eu obt. Say what you want guys but this is the 1st mmo in a while that kept me interested for more then a few weeks

I absolutely agree with Kosiauke, one of the best MMOs in terms of fun, immersive content and systems in a loooong while. Can't wait for CBT3 and OBT. And seriously, if someone is considering playing - just try it out yourself, grab a CBT3 if you can or wait for launch. Peple are so butthurt and crying about simply everything, that they cannot enjoy the game itself. There will never be a perfect game that will satisfy everyone. And this one has really a lot to offer in terms of PVP, PVE, crafting, trading, movement, progression.
The localization is horrible (they did not even try) There is no story (or if u are brave enough to follow , u will most likely loose a few braincells in the process) I have never pressed space and f key so many in a row in a mmo Dungeons that i did where ok nothing spectacular ( dodge + spam abilities ) Made it to level 37 Texture wise the game did not look that impressive (maxed settings) it's beta so i hope that get's improved Overall it was meh Will try it again on release.
ps: got one beta key if someone still needs one , just pm.
Reading about this game and playing it, I recognized so many features taken from other games (lineage 2, b&s, etc...).However, a big concern is how some features resemble a game i used to play - Wartune- ,publisher r2games. If anybody knows that game(money blackhole) they know what i`m writing about.Another thing, witch i noticed playing russian RO...new servers tend to open up quite quickly witch will leave old servers empty.
I like this game so far, but I will reserve holding my decision on if this game is GOOD or BAD until I at least play this game for a while.
Just a few things I noticed from playing:
Story: The characters involved are characters that have personality and you will remember. The quests one take in towns teach the player about the game world and the culture of the cities.
Character Classes: These classes don't exist just for the hell of it. One of the first games that ties classes to the world, culture, and philosophies. (FFXIV did a good job in making each class tied to a Class-Guild/Sect and to their cities.
Graphics: First game I've played were at 4K resolution I don't need to download SweetFX and Nvidia Inspector to get right. I use 4K Native Resolution and not DSR. The game also allows filtering options which is really nice.
P2W vs P4C (Pay For Convenience): I can see where a lot of P4C will be used to become P2W, but so far I feel its not P2W unless there is no way for the gap between a normal player and a P2W player can be closed. The game is F2P and founders packs are common. This system of F2P + Subscription Option + Cash Shop = Standard in games from Japan, Korea, and China. Its Conventional, Not Innovative.
Immersion: The game does a good job at telling you that you can be cute and innocent, yet at the same time not treating you like you haven't turned 12 yet.
Movement: Moving around like an anime character in the air and on the ground is nice. Base Movement is higher than some games.
Combat: There are multiple combat modes. Due to the nature of Action Based Combat, there is always a need to retain superior position. Expect to move around and dodge a lot. Sometimes life and death is separated by what enemy can move faster than you. It is nice that as a healer I can use more traditional MMO Tab-Targeting. Just the fact that I have the choice of combat mode is nice.
Solo vs Grouping: This game offers the two. In fact it encourages grouping as the game progresses.
Alts vs SingleClass: This game benefits the player who plays a single class the most. In fact each character is its own entity and even the founders pack target a single character.
Intensity: This varies. From emotes getting more and more mature as players get closer in social, to the way the game scales its attacks. The quests involve a little more than just killing as that is what its meant by Story-Driven gaming. The quests are part of the story and experience of the game. Not just around to kill time. The game does well to seperate quest types too.
Character Creation: Definitely one of the best out there. My advice is to make your own character and don't settle on premades. I had a blast with character creation.
Negatives:
If you like anime-style graphics...this game is not for you. There is always a lot to do in the world. If you want to do it all... expect to focus on a single character to be able to have a life in the real world.
In Combat, you will quickly lean towards your ungrounded skills and move around a lot if you are alone, and when you have time, you will use your grounded skill. To clarify, there are two sets of skills in most games. In games like TERA, all skills are ROOTED (Grounded) meaning upon execution you will Stand Still and activate your skill. Unrooted (ungrounded) skills are skills that you can use while moving. You will quickly learn that when you are soloing, your unrooted skills become your most frequently used and sometimes more valuable than your rooted skills, but a well placed rooted skill will cause tons of damage.
In short, there are positioning tactics and movement tactics. This makes combat and movement the polar opposite of traditional MMOs where players stand still playing a nice game of Simon (Color-Memory Game) and if one person fails, everyone dies. The game transforms into moving around a lot if your a soloing.
This is what TERA was missing and what many players complained about. Now that Revelation Online has it, some people are thinking twice whether it was a good idea or not.
Also, when a player uses an unrooted skill, there is no Movement Penalty while the skill is being charged. In other words, its not like Phantasy Star Online-2 where an unrooted skill causes a 50% movement speed reduction.
Unsure:
I am not sure how far the crafting system goes. I promised to try this system when the game goes live because Data is going to be wiped.
How bad is the dodging and spamming abilities I really hate games that make me feel like I have to press keyboard keys fast or die.
Lots of dodging and spamming yes; in fact you have to take breaks to keep from getting carpel tunnel.
Thanks for the clarification
No problem. I don't think the dodging is as organic in this game as a game like Guild Wars 2 and it's not as responsive; it's actually pretty annoying. The telegraphing kinda seems at times depending on the mob too predicable and there is very little time to respond so you find yourself mashing keys a lot to get out of the way of things all while pounding number keys since there is no auto attack. Might help to bind dodge to a mouse button, but I doubt that will make it any more fun. With that said, I feel this is one of the better F2P games I've played as of recent (better than Blade and Soul or Icarus Online) so I expect it to have a decent fanbase. I imagine I will check it out from time to time as well.
Well I got a beta invite from them a couple of days ago but instead of sending codes they're supposed to be doing it as an achievement on your profile page... which they've somehow messed up. Lots of posts from people like me seeing nothing there lol.
Hey I'll check most things out for free

thnx, the skyforge loading is for an unknown reason too slow, my HDD is 200gb empty and the darn game make him sound like 10k rpm engine, is the only game so far that i have so huge loading time even if i load the same instance.
fan of SWG, XCOM, Defiance, Global Agenda, Need For Speed, all Star Wars single player games. And waiting the darn STAR CITIZEN
