LF MMORPG LIKE ESO QUESTING

VladricVladric Member UncommonPosts: 9
I'm looking for an mmorpg that has epic questing like ESO, but way better combat. It can be action combat or tab combat don't really matter Also not Asian or Anime themed because I just don't care for that type of game. Great PVE is a must PVP doesn't have to be perfect or even there. Also no spaceships like EVE I want an actual character to play. Thank You for suggestions :) I have already played WOW, GW2, ESO,
LOTRO and RIFT.

Maybe try Black Desert Online. It has a pretty steep learning curve to start though. I think I have an extra 7 day guest pass for the game too, if you decide to try it out.

    Swtor?
Isn't that game locked behind paywalls?

If you want to play the game like a single player RPG and just do the quests, you can easily without paying a penny. You can also do the group content (Flashpoints and Planet Heroics) whilst leveling without spending money.

What was wrong with ESO's combat again?

Do you have to buy the expansions though?

Not enough abilities on your tool bar and the combat animations just felt clunky.

If you want to do that content yes. I don't know if you need all of them to get to max level, it's been a while since I've played.

If you're just into questing you do have a total of 8 different class quests that are completely free to go through.

I think the cap is still behind a paywall. Plus you have to buy hotbars, so...

Compared to ESO, yes, a bit.

The difference is that when ESO went buy to play and made the sub optional, they didn't cripple any parts of the game for those playing without subbing like SWTOR did when they went F2P (don't forget that ESO isn't F2P - you do still need to pay something up front to play it.)

But if you do the optional sub in ESO or SWTOR you get the full game with no crippling and all content - called "expansions" in SWTOR and "DLC" in ESO.

SWTOR also has a third option for those who at one time subbed before. It's called "prefered status" and they are crippled less than the pure F2P players

oh yes the questing was great. They felt unique and had their own little narrative stories.

You could easily do the solo questing with a single hotbar.
