Is MxO desserted?

I have heard that nobody plays The Matrix Online anymore and I just want to know if it's true. I have played it and no matter where I go, I'm the only person in the entire game. If it's because it "sucks" as many people say, it probably wouldn't be so bad if more people played it. (it's not called a massively multiplayer RPG for nothing!) So, is the game truly barren and am I the only person alive who plays it?

 

NOTE: I'm not sure exactly which category this topic should be in and this seems like probably the most fitting one.

    wasnt deserted when i played

    everyone proly thinks it is cuz not everyones in the same place.if you added up all the players

    you find out there is quite alot of players

    Since SOE is picking it up I recently bought it with plans to do the trial and then cancel til it goes to station pass at which point I will start playing again.

    I have yet to see anyone in the game, literally. I started on Proxy and I have travelled out of the newbie area to some degree, not alot yet however. But I cannot even recall a time I saw another player in there while I was playing. The server loads were all reporting medium at the time, I presume they were all somewhere else since I wasn't seeing them. Hit the subway a few times going here and there, haven't really found anyone yet.

    Perhaps I am missing someting or perhaps the game really is empty anymore, None-the-less when it goes to Station Pass I am sure the numbers will pick up a great deal.

    I was playing on Heuristic-Hostile and I never saw anyone. It's a shame that no one plays it anymore.

    So your saying there is no new players and all the players are currently established players? I should be seeing atleast a few newbies running around where I am.
