Been on the lookout for a decent game on my iPad, maybe this will be one

Another energy-based mobile cash grab piece of crap. I'm really sad, because I love Devilian on the PC. I thought for sure at least this would break the mold a little bit.

Want a similar experience? Try the 10k other "Mobile RPGs" there are on the app stores.

To give a little more insight -

    • Has a "hub" screen where you travel to your campaign missions to repetitively kill monsters over and over.
    • The energy system is designed to run out quickly ( after the tutorial and about 2-ish hours of gameplay )
    • Cash shop offers a lot of things like gambling boxes and upgrade mats for your weapons

    • It's run by the people who also run Summoners War. Get ready for a lot of RNG.
I stopped after seeing all that crap. Why waste my time? Such a shame.

I think the opposite as halfmystic.
This a better game among mobile games than Devilian desktop is among PC games.
I could play for many hours without having to buy energy. Note that you get energy refilled when you level up.
I didn't like the devilian mode in the desktop version as it seemed too short. Here it make more sense as the fight is shorter and you quickly switch between the 2 modes.
Don't expect crafting or mounts. This is a ARPG on mobile and done well.

It is pay-to-win trash, wake up before it drains your bank account.

@Kyleran  - I just launched a mobile MMORPG for iPad and am looking for beta testers.  ghosttrack.com has the invite instructions.  I've been working on it for 20 years, so... it's got a lot of stuff.

I don't fear P2W. I don't even fear pay to progress, I just move to another game if the game is not fun anymore without paying. Simple as that.
Have spent no money on this game and still enjoy it.

Unfortunately it's mentality like yours that perpetuate games like this. Even though YOU don't pay money for it, others will because they want to stomp the non-payers in the PvP mode. AND THEY PAY A LOT.

It's really a shame, I've yet to encounter a decent multiplayer RPG on mobile that wasn't energy based, cash shop riddled garbage. If anything came out that was actually decent with a cosmetic cash shop, I'm sure it'd be great and popular.

Also it has auto combat. What? Whatwhatwhat? How does it even classify as an ARPG if all you have to do is click "auto" and watch it do things for you.

We're truly at the height of gamer apathy.

That's the new "in" thing today. Desktop MMOs being ported to mobile devices. If it was old games like Ultima Online, MU Online, Lineage, Lineage 2, I would understand. But games not as old as those I mentioned, it is too early to be ported in mobile.
