My 71 year old relative was nearly in tears after experiencing this tonight. 
Anyone who had doubts what VR can do must try it!

I wonder if it will work with xbox controller (I dont yet have the Oculus controllers). I want to try it I have an Oculus

I not seen anything about Xbox controllers working but seen this below on Reddit;

I don't have any hand controls, so I tried everything to move around. I found out that:

• Press Enter and the main menu comes up, then select buttons with the Rift and press space bar to select
• Once in the scene, press the space button and tilt your Rift to move
• Press Tab and turn your head to move left or right

dig it! and being that its free no risk trying it out.

I must admit I have been a little reserved with my judgement of VR recently due to some bad press. But, fair play, this looks incredible.

MMO version already exists. It's accessible by opening your door and walking outside.

Yea but no one likes permadeath. Full loot and jail as a consequence.

Besides most gamers cant walk to the end of the block, let alone as far as outside of the city
