I really didn't want to create a thread despite it's possible since it's a home assignment but I'm on a question on this assignment which we didn't get any lectures on. Who knows about the subject has it easy, while people like me have to find search on google.
I've been typing several questions on google but can't get a good result so if anyone that knows anything about movie editing and post effects can lend me a hand, I'd be grateful.
The question is about building a computer system for a person that is new to video editing. He wants a good system but his budget is quite limited (1k for hardware 2k for software). Our job is to create a system and find the specific software for the user's particular needs that fit in the budget.
Now, building the pc itself wasn't hard, just time consuming (Had to convert currencies to mine, pictures and also specifications of each item). The software part besides something like photoshop and a video editing software like sony vegas I have no clue where to start.
The budget is 2000 euro for software and the teacher said if we did some research it's actually quite low (No doubt about it if you know what to search for). So without taking forever to finish the thread.
What software would someone that is going to video edit need?
You don't need to list me all the software that fits in a budget, I really didn't want to come to this as I don't want to "cheat" by asking people that know about this but alas I am clueless and google is not helping me find what I need.
