MMOs that you can play with your kids.

Got the idea for this thread from another person looking for MMOs they can play with their pre-teen kids. Here are some that fit that bill. Feel free to add more:
- Puzzle Pirates ( http://www.puzzlepirates.com/ )
Requires interacting with others. Has a lot of competitive play. NOT for the "everyone gets a trophy" crowd, as progression is based on player skill not character skill.

- Wizard 101 ( https://www.wizard101.com/ )
These two are great fun for small groups and duos. If you go free-to-play, you pay by zone for the most part. Sub unlocks everything for you.
- TROVE ( http://www.trionworlds.com/trove/ )
Like Minecraft with quests and a very social but loose group play system. People gain rewards and xp by proximity. Lots of character customization and a fun variety of classes.
- LEGO Worlds ( https://www.lego.com/en-us/worlds/ )
Of the various LEGO MMOs - LEGO Universe, LEGO Minifigures, LEGO Worlds - this one was the most fun. It's also the only one that's still around. If your kid likes LEGOs, definitely check this out.

Cartoony and very friendly/personable NPCs, but grindy after a while. Not complex and has a lot of content your kid can d alone or with a small team.

Everything you want in an MMO - housing, farming, hunting, fishing, PvE, PvP, raids, crafting... and a lot of it behind paywalls. Lots of reading, but lots of story to get into if you like the RPG part of MMORPGs.

While it has the story arcs, quests, crafting, gathering, and central towns where everyone gathers, the dungeons/zones are instanced group area, so this is only loosely an MMO by most measures.

This MMO has pretty much everything that MMOs offer except for housing. The reason i suggest this is because if your 10-year old is like most others, they find a zone they like and will stay there FOREVER unless you drag them out. Guild Wars 2 scales content and keeps the zones rewarding for the person playing it, no matter what level they are.

Lots of heroes, lots of action gameplay. RPGish in proigression mostly, not very much story or taking on a role.

GW2 can have some mature content might not be as attractive for younger folk. Can get grindy and boring unless your child is pvp minded then there is some real fun to be had. GW2 has the best underwater game play on the pve side.
I read a lot of mom/dad World of Warcraft stories; also mature content.
If you have a dark emo who does not like the powder puff stuff TESO is the most popular mmorpg atm. Demonic sacrifice type mature content. You would both have to buy an account tho and it is not cross platform. Suggest PC version as the console versions are... challenged.
I have always loved Mabinogi but it's time consuming and slow grinding like a Final Fantasy game. Very rewarding with the best pet system in any mmo but expect to sink money in the cash shop. Some mounts allow for passengers.
Overwatch is hot but you might be in the teenager bracket with that one. A pvp minded child would be in heaven for this.
Minecraft is an mmo now. Best dynamics for building. Challenges can be found in The End thru an End Portal. Seriously hands down the best family friendly play with mom and dad type of mmo. Build a home together! Or an entire city! Easy to learn. PC version will have more options of course and a chance for learning programming if your child gets into modding. Check options to shut off mob aggression for very young child who might get afraid of exploding mobs.
