and group delves designed for 4 people; group delves are rarely soloed.
I'm actually solo farming normal difficulty Fungal Grotto these days for Viper weapons and jewelry. It's pretty easy on my CP460 Stamsorc. I don't even have to equip my tanking gear: just regular medium armor... takes me about 7 minutes
The 1 version of the first 3 dungeons: FG, Spindle and BC can be soloed fairly easily if you're well geared and have a build with lots of AOE and self-heals. Some people even solo things like Dragonstar arena in vet mode but that's pretty tough.

Indeed. And as it is done I thought about the term to use before I posted. "Uncommon" I felt would give the wrong impression. So based on comments on the forums plus the fact that characters with high CP levels are "far fewer" and even then you need the skill, patience to learn how etc. - I opted for "rarely".
Can a lvl 20 player group with a starting player, in a balanced way?
Yes, definitely. The one thing experienced players have over the new ones is just gear and... umm... experience playing the game. It's the second part that is key in tough dungeon fights because of the zillion boss mechanics in the game
Well, there's also the skills you've unlocked. You get better and more useful skills as you level up and unlock them, as well. So there's also that

True but more so for some classes/builds than others.
You can make a very solid end-gamish version of a DW + bow stamsorc pretty early level-wise since you'll be using the first 2 bow skills and the first three DW skills throughout. Unlocking and morphing critical surge is the toughest part but if you remember to load-up your active skill bar with Storm Calling abilities before quest turn-ins, you can have it easily in your mid 20s.
The PVP skills I use on mine Vigor and Caltrops, can also be unlocked in a few hours in Blackwater Blade. Some things like Rearming trap and the better ultimates and well thought out gear sets do come much later but that's just gravy. Your core is very solid in your 20s.
Other builds like magicka NB or magicka Templars do take more unlocking to make them work well but many are powerful early on.
All of that of course is assuming you do have enough experience playing the game to know about building priorities.

I spent most of my points on glowing resource nodes.
All the iron will pay for my grandchildren's education one day!
Yeah gathering what you'll need for crafting can take up time and inventory space as well as ability points for crafting early on. I do tend to forget that now that I have an almost unlimited supply of the mats I've gathered over almost 3 years

I have been trying to level a single toon that has ALL the crafting/professions with their skills and buffs... it is hard... especially keeping that toon viable with 2H and Bow. But wow, I wished I would have known to do all professions on one toon from the beginning... I think we were told that you couldn't in the beginning? Having all professions on one toon is SO much easier, but Skill Points takes lots of work.

Two is better, IMO. All the consumables on one and the rest on the other... (says the guy with 4 crafters )

I dunno I have a 100% completed crafter and is also my adventuring character. It's not "Hard" it just takes time. I still havent even finished cadwell's silver and I have enough skill points. It really is just about going for map completion of every zone for skyshards and quests that grant skill points.

Oh I know it can be done but it does cramp your style a bit. My stamsorc main, for example, has DW, Bow, 2HD, 1HD+S, heavy armor, medium armor + several guild and PVP skills and ultimates trained.
The higher level you are the easier it gets but if you're trying to juggle skill point allocation at lower levels something will always be lacking: be it your crafting or build flexibility.

Crafting, schmafting! I just wanna hurl some lightning bolts!
Thinking about subbing again, rolled a new character because logging into my old characters is hella confusing... Having some fun so far with a Dark Magic/Storm Calling Sorc using Destro/Resto staves.
Scaling system threw me for a loop at first.. But I do enjoy the more widespread availability of set pieces.. It always presents something to work towards, whether it be upgrading your current set or replacing it with a new zone's set.
Haven't jumped back in to PvP yet. I'm sure my build is hella gimped for that right now.

You have a resto staff? Be one with the zerg and heal
My Templar healer is a great veteran dungeon healer now using the ultimates I got PVPing in BWB at low levels. I even use my Efficient Purge occasionally for groups that are either too lazy or clueless to synergize with my normal Templar Cleansing Ritual that's always sitting there on the ground under their feet.
Mind you PVP doesn't have quite as much to offer in the way of all-purpose useful abilities for magicka builds as it does for stamina with Vigor and Caltrops but it's still fun anyway.

The system is quite awesome. When grouping with someone from different level and fighting the same mob, somehow you are fighting your own lvl, and the other person too.
The mob is like two different levels at the same time, like some kind of quantum mob!
The nodes for crafting are even better. What you see is based on the tier you are with crafting, no matter where you go.

Actually that's the way WOW did it in their latest expansion but it's not the way ESO does it. The mob IS max level, level CP160 - all mobs now are.
It's the low level player who is below CP160 that gets bolstered so he can deal competitive damage.
If you ever fought PVE mobs in Cyrodiil at any time since launch you would know this is what's happening because it has always been that way there since 2014. They later took the same idea and added it to the 4 DLC areas: Orsinium, The Imperial City, Hew's Bane and The Gold Coast and also made all dungeons that were formed through the group finder work the same way.
With One Tamriel they made the whole game work this way not just parts of it. And they also removed the mob's level designation since they're all CP160 everywhere.
