Threat to release Fable Code Spolied (old)

Just saw this on BBC.com.  It happened a long time ago, but I still find these things interesting.  'WoW' has happened before.

Kid threatened the makers of Fable, to release their code.  They hunted him and ended the threat.  They were rather kind and only threatened to tell his mum.

Good on 'em.  I'd never heard about threats to release game code until this WoW foolishness.  Guess I haven't been keeping up.

My main memory is buying the game, only to find out that they released it early and cut out a bunch of content (such as the huge dragon boss). They then released the full game and called it "the lost chapters". In the original, you can even see through a crack in the one wall of rock to see the dragon boss area. I liked the game, but couldn't help feeling suckered a bit when I found out they released early.

Goes to show you how the anonymity of the internet really brings out the "asshole" in some people.
