I don't have time now to fully explain why exactly I love the character of Varian.. get some lore lessons and experience it for yourselves! Varian is really cool, and has an interesting character and his relationship with his son, Anduin is really interesting, especially now in Legion. Well, we lost Him, but his character lives on as his son's character is being developed.
I was out of my mind when I saw him being revealed for Heroes at BlizzCon.. They really did a great job and gave him (and us) the honor he deserves. For [let your heart fill up this space with your warcry]!

Lost his father and his city destroyed at young age, his best friend betrays him, his wife dies because some bs riot, got captured, people tried to assasinate him and his son etc. but he didn't give up. He devoted his life for his people and died for them. Love him because he teaches us not to give up no matter what happens.

Varian was a great leader of the Alliance! He had many trials to overcome, but when Jaina kept pushing him to strike at the Horde, he took the more honorable road and issued his ultimatum of watchful inaction. He was strong when necessary, but didn't want to needlessly endanger the peoples of the Alliance. He was an inspiration on and off the battlefield!

I, really, like Varian Wrynn, because his character seems well designed and interesting. He seems just and dependable, no matter the situation, be it the storyline or battlefield of WoW or HoTS. :P
