The latest Grim Dawn Misadventures has been posted to the official forum that reveals some pretty exciting news for players: The introduction of a new class, the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor is a specialist at Ranged combat but isn't afraid of close combat as well. Both forms of combat allow Inquisitors to unleash the power of fire and storm at enemies

How do you think it is going to play? Like a trap master with ranged weapons?

Good game getting better , Looks to me , like they are finally going to make a proper build/class around Duel wielding pistols , which has been sorely lacking since launch

Hopefully this class wont be as much of a letdown as the Arcanist was.. I found that one extremely boring.

I hope the next mastery is a chaos/aether hybrid, those two damage type are severely underrepresented in the game.

They should really add 2 classes in the expansion and not just one, after all this is a "mastery" and not a "class" and a combination of 2 masteries makes a class in Grim Dawn. Other than that what Grim Dawn really lacks is procedural generation.

They are adding two masteries.  The second one is just unnannounced, although they said it's one we already met in-game.  Going by the 8 duo mastery names they showed for the inquisitor as well as the existence of Death Vigil in the game, most people think the other mastery will be Necromancer.

(it'd be pretty weird if you could still ally with Kymon's Light while a Necro though)

How didn't I think of that? I even like Sacred 2...

As for rumours about the second mastery being Necromancer, I've to say NO because:

-> We already have Occultist who plays EXACTLY like you'd expect from D2 era Necro
-> There are items that allow you to summon Undead(mostly off hand where the one of most significance is Og'Napesh Grimoire)
-> There is a constellation that allows you to summon Undead
-> Doesn't make sense with Kymon's Chosen and Death's Vigil

If I had to guess, I'd say it has something to do with...Ulgrim, yes. Inquisitor is most likely Inquisitor Creed expanded and...this just makes sense. Btw, his name is Ul GRIM. I wonder whether that is important...?
I always assumed Ulgrim was a nightblade.  I could be wrong though, especially since actual nightblades don't have a stealth move, do they?

It'd be fitting for it to be Ulgrim's mastery to go alongside Creed's but I thought Ulgrim's profession was one-of-a-kind in terms of lore (unlike Inquisitors where it's been stated there's a lot more than just one)
