It's absolutely criminal how little interest there is in Wildstar. This should be a top 10 MMO.. and top 3 FTP MMO.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Not trying to be mean or anything.... but are there even people playing this still?

I hope the game is making enough to pay the people working on it .

Crazy how small the pop is for this game.  People really need to give it another chance.  It really is a great game.

This game has some of the most fun combat out there in the MMO world. Particularly raiding where everyone is accountable beyond simply tunnel visioning their dps meters.

I'm just amazed this game is still releasing new content for the 12 people who play. Honestly though Wildstar is a quality game, it's crazy how little tolerance gamers have for a poorly executed launch these days.

I think the world and the content in this game is great, I just found that I didn't like the gameplay very much. I thought it was pretty bad personally. I could not find a single class I enjoyed. I ended up leveling a Medic to 50 at launch as it was the class I could tolerate the most, and I didn't even like that one. I mainly played it for the housing and the visuals.

Looks too cartoonish. That's why I don't want to play it.

I've tried this game around three times, during beta and launch, after major updates, and can't get into it.

I really had a ton of fun in WS. I love the combat, lore, and aesthetic. I played a ton during beta, and most of the first year after launch, but things got weird. Players started leaving in droves and devs were jumping ship left and right. It was like WS was a burning building and everyone was tring to get out. I was sad to do it, but I eventually moved on also after all my friends had quit and my guild was a virtual ghost town :(

That's pretty good for a game you don't like. I don't think I made it to lvl 10 on any of my characters.

Outside of not liking the combat, cartoon look, and cramped and crowded feeling zones, I find Wildstar an ok game.

Installed and tried several times. But that UI, ughhhh, it gets to me every time until I start actively disliking it again and I uninstall. Also, bland crafting and not very memorable classes.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

If WoW released today and was published by the same people as Wildstar, it would have ended in the same spectacular way.

It's really funny how IP and brand recognition (among luck and marketing budget) plays the biggest role in a game's success. Quality is not really that important. If it was, nearly every MMO that released in the past 5 years would have easily killed WoW.

As for Wildstar fans, my condolences. The timing was bad, and there is already a huge competitor in the "not serious" and "cartoony" category. It's sad, however I really don't see this game making it into 2018.

The combat killed any hope of this game being a top AAA mmo. Every person i know that played this game hated the combat system.

Tuesday is the 3rd. Wednesday is the 4th.

I am still interested in WS but I haven't played for months. I just can't get up the desire to play once I reached 50. I think it's the bad combat and bad community that did me in. It's a pity because the game does a lot right. I wish I knew how to fix the combat, but I have no idea what works. When WS is sundowned I'm quitting MMOs completely.

As someone else said ..... THE CLASSES MAN!! It feels like none should be there! ( Well , beside medic ) . Or at least not in the current state.

Those classes were made for Tab Target system and from my point of view, they made a huge mistake taking the GW2 approach in the middle of development !

Great , GREAT world and story. But I just can't get myself playing ANY class.

I am sorry Wildstar, I am sorry! I really tried HARD to like you :(

"The fate of Nexus rests in your hands..."

I'm not sure if that is them saying if players don't get involved then we may shut down.. or if it's applying in game towards next PvE content. For the small pop that Wildstar has I'll say it's a very friendly community from what I've experienced.

none of the class interesme outside the warrior , and Esper , but the combat kills it ....graphics i dont mind even like it , optimization is "meh" so there u go ...

Wildstar is bar none the most fun to play game I've ever played in terms of MMOs.

That said, because of the super hardcore launch where you had to finish all of the punishing dungeons without anyone dying and the world boss attunement process it had a bad first impression.

They have made extreme progress and the same is phenomenal and much more approachable now.

The problem has been a relatively small population but they are adding content at a pace that kind of defies those numbers.

I see new people in nexus chat every day talking about how much they love it, and why it isn't more popular.  I don't think it's going to pull an FFXIV-esque 180 but I do believe it will have a brighter future.

Loved this game, even made a fansite to help people. I weathered the storm for 2 years and regret nothing. After raiding hardcore in WoW from vanilla to Cata, my best raiding experience was with this game by far. I never got why it didn't click with people, especially those who complain about the UI - it looks and feels 10xs better than WoW's stock UI.

The game deserves to do much better than it is. I'm glad they're still making content as people were saying it would be shut down by the end of 2016.

I've tried a couple of times to play but never even got to level 10 -- the UI is really unappealing and I didn't find the story very engaging, combined with a low pop levelling up. Aside from that though the combat, animations, aesthetics -- pretty much everything else really, were fantastic.

Wildstar runs each day as if it is its last. The game has only lasted this long because of the good graces of NCsoft which is saying a lot. Even from people who've worked on it, laid off or otherwise don't understand why it is still going. Wildstar Q3 if I remember correctly didn't even break 1million USD, for a company like NCsoft, its a drop in the bucket. Q4 is probably going to be even worse.

Wildstar had a terrible retail launch, had a just as bad F2P launch and its Steam launch barely broke 5,000 players and it dropped sharply after. Its average users is sub 300 monthly and still dropping.

To put it in more perspective, CoH was bringing in almost triple what Wildstar is prior to its closure.

Neat, but NCsoft management has changed since the CoH days and its not the "evil" corporation people think it is.

Wildstar is still VERY slightly profitable for NCsoft, so running Wildstar is easy and cheap.
