i thought you were actually playing the game, not just commenting on old footage....anyways, i'm definitely going to follow this game. don't think i'll buy in right off the bat having already done the "funcom early access" thing with AoC . wasn't very fun for the first 6 months. i hope this one is better.
I believe the only way to make a game like this work well is if you make it like a Age of Empires.
That way you can have workers and maybe hire guards or warriors from around the world, maybe even gain mini gods to work/fight for you.
I see mention of such an idea and that is definitely a good design addition.I just figure it likely will be done rather limited but could be an area of lots of added content moving forward, example adding more gods/npcs to work for you or guard your fortress.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I really wish your character could acquire crafting skill.Having thralls do that removes you too far from the crafting process in my opinion. Crafter's do not view crafting as a chore. It is fun, and deep player interaction in crafting is desired by many.
It will be a grief fest with lots of complaints about camping players but I love the theme so will give it a go.

I bought Age of Conan when it went live and it was total disaster - game with lot of nice promises from developer and terrible quality unfinished product which wasn't polished or ready for delivery and in all honesty it's not finished even now after several years and change from subscription model to F2P (they promised to rework the crafting system in AoC few years ago almost since the delivery of the game and that system has not been updated yet… chances are low that it will be updated at all now). The best illustration of developer's attitude is that instead of finishing the product and gaining the respect from the fans who have bought their product, subscribed, used cash shop when game changed to F2P model... they just plan to deliver the same game with minor corrections and some additions under new title Conan Exiles - actually it's not a new game but expansion of AoC, never the less Funcom introduces it as a new product. This is really cheep trick to rob their customers once more. I won't buy this product at least until I'll have the chance to test it and make sure that it's polished and works properly with things promised by developers implemented in the game. I really recommend others to do the same - DON'T buy any early access and DON'T preorder anything from Funcom. If you fail to do that you risk to get disappointed as this developer is well known for delivery of unfinished products.
Small shit worlds, literally killed it for me. Ark is popular because of its mods, not the game and not the terrible server caps.
Life is feudal started this way and the sieges or guilds large enough could not get everyone online during the time to play. So now we have LiF MMO, they should learn from this example and make the servers capable to even house those communities with even 100 players. Literally making those dedicated communities unable to play your game together.
