Do you like Korean MMO Art Style?

With the latest influx of Korean and Asian MMOs I am curious to know if you like their Art Style.

I openly admit I hate it, though I am not so squeamish that I would not play the game if it is good enough, after all I am playing BDO and used to play Archeage.
I just don't get ladies wearing high heels and skimpy outfits going to battle, they look totally out of place.
I also don't get Lolitas type of characters and Cute Furry Animals either.
Also sometimes the Armor is a little too badass early on, I rather have a sense of progression, while sometimes it looks just completely wrong.

(I hope Blueturtle doesn't kill me) :p

I like the art style, don't like when they introduce raybans and jump suits and stupid carrot hats as things you can wear.

Good at the lower levels, where stuff makes sense(usually)...   Unbelievably obnoxious at high levels.

I love it for the most part. The little lolitas and furry critters aren't my thing, but I can deal with them.

Oh cmon you get my point =)
We all know Asians are the worst offenders.
For that matter EQ2 had Ratonga in 2004 (I actually liked Ratonga, they were not too cute, they looked like they were up to no good).

It depends on the title but there are certain things I don't like. Take Aion. They had IMO the most beautifully unique artstyles of the time and it was pretty cohesive.... until they introduced the cutsie anime pets, roller skates and sunglasses. If there was one reason I wouldn't vote 'Yes' it's the penchant for artstyle-breaking pop culture items.

Exaggerated body parts, lady-boys, fuzzies, and pedo-girls aren't my thing. Not to mention bikini armor and fighting in high heels.  Oh and light shows every time you swing a sword.

Love the art style. Hate everything else.

Depends on the game, if the graphics fit it then fine. I generally don't like The lack of variation in armor skins most of the Korean games have.

I can't say that I prefer one or the other style, it is more about how well you implement the style.

But I want to add in Korean MMOs defence that I do like their game design, which is more innovative than any Western crap we've seen in the last 10 years, BDO and Archeage are two of my favorite MMOs.
And the male Plate armor is generally badass in every Asian game.

I tend to avoid asian mmos.
The acronym MMORPG use to mean Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

But the acronym MMMORPG now currently means Microscopic Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Kappa.

Not really a fan of the animal ears and tails on humans.  Also some of the movements like some of the running animations where people seem to almost be bent over in an "L" shape when they run.  I assume it's a culture thing though, so no biggy.  I do, however, absolutely love all forms of Asian food!

I find the art style nice. The thing I don't like are the effects and some design decisions. Big shoulder pads, big swords, and big bosses annoy me. I don't like another humanoid character being double the size of your character because it's an enemy. I also don't like fighting toes.

It's a mixed bag. I appreciate Eastern aesthetics, but the lolicons and cutesy races have got to go.

Since when is that the universal Korean art style?  I happen to be playing a Korean MMORPG now (Tree of Savior) and have no idea what you're talking about.  Here's the collection of free female outfits:

    http://www.tosbase.com/game/classes/

I wouldn't call those a bunch of skimpy outfits.  There are about as many that show no skin below the neck at all as show any cleavage.  Footwear ranges from sandals to steel boots, but generally looks comfortable for running.  The characters generally look like they could be in their 20s.  And while the game does have some furry animals, they generally aren't cute.

Maybe there are some other Korean games that fit your description, but it's hardly a universal Korean art style.

On that note, I personally find the whole cat-eared and animal-tailed thing to be rather weird and off-putting, but the Asians seem to love that stuff.

The general art styles are great.  Asia produces some amazing artists.  I might not like some of the directions they take, but their artists are top-notch.

Also, I could do without the beach-ball boobs and such.

I can appreciate the ears and tails thing. It's just the creepy, borderline pedophillic character designs in these games that bothers me. Plus, these games tend to come with race/gender-locked classes, so you can't even just ignore it.

A lot more than western art style(more specifically the western art style that always try to be realistic) when they stay true to the particular genre they are working on. For example, if its a fantasy setting, dont add modern day, sci-fi or cowbow stuff just to sell them in the cash shop. If they want to add it to the game, then add it to the core game like a faction that is more advanced or more archaic than the others, etc. Otherwise, stay within a particular theme. Not just korean but asian art style overall.

    Are you serious?
You are comparing an isometric MMO with a full 3D game Art Style?
Correct me if I wrong but aren't Tree of Savior characters all children, which means it is aimed at kids so I assume they would have the decency to dress them properly.

Also just because 1 or two Asian games don't fit the stereotype doesn't make it the norm.
The most popular MMOs coming from the East, share the same Art Style template, and you can spot one among 100s of Western games (I sure can).
It all started with Lineage 2 since then I can spot an Asian MMO just looking at one single screenshot, and I am sure most people can do the same.

    Lineage 2
    Aion
    Bless
    Archeage
    BDO
    Revelation
    Tera
    Final Fantasy
    Blade and Soul

These are only the most popular that I can remember top of my head.
But I can find dozens of similar smaller games that fit the bill with a little research.
    There is plenty of them.

I like the art style, the smart game design and most gameplay mechanics, they only have to work on grinding and p2w a bit for the western market.

While skimpy outfits instead of useful garbs and armors exist in western games as well the eastern games have far more of games with them. And Korea probably have the highest percentage of games with them.

Not all Korean games are like that of course but since Lineage 2 they have kinda been the standard. But then There is no real universal artstyle for Korean games either, there is the most common artstyle but not something that fits with all games.

I think part of the problem is that many of the games offer so few different armor skins, most many western games have so many skins that they add some sensible skins as well and let the player pick which is fine. The problem is not that female avatars can wear sexy but useless stuff but when they must because there is no sensible alternative for your levelrange.
