I always wanted to try Ark but heard so many bad things. I haven't played a survival game yet and always wanted to try on an RP server. Seems like this might be a decent one to start with.
I didn't want to start right from the beginning but I have a friend who insists we start right on day 1. And I am able to enjoy any game when playing with the right people so why not!

I was hyped when I first heard of the game some months ago, but the dev streams looked pretty bad given the fact that they probaly tried to show off the best sides of the game. I sort of lost all expectations. But now, watching streamers play, I am impressed. It looks way better than what Ark was at launch.
$29.99 is really not much to fuss over, so yeah I´ll be trying it tomorrow. Still not convinced, but the hype is starting to come back.

ARK is on sale on steam atm for $9.99. As for the poll I am undecided atm.
I'm not a fan of survival games, but this and Dark and Light have some mmo features that have tempted me. Therefore, I've gotten together 15-20 friends/guildies to give EA a shot on a pvp server. As hardcore mmo pvpers though, we hope they'll consider raising the server cap for at least some pvp servers as optimization occurs.

These games are fun, but I don't see anything that is really grabbing my attention here with Conan, it's just another survival game with a different skin. Not doing anything better then the next game.
I could play , H1Z1, Ark, DayZ, Minecraft, Fallout, Rust, Kings, The Division, and x amount of zombie survivals out already that do the same or more than Conan is offering and will offer for quite some time.

I think it IS about the skin that it has. At least for some people. For instance. I don't play Ark nor do I have any interest in Ark/It's setting. Don't care about Zombie Survival.
I do like Conan however and it's the Conan setting that is attractive.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
Advertising single player play, tells me that this game will probably have enough meat on its bones compared to other titles. Not expecting too much for EA, but curiosity always gets the better of me.
I dont even play ark. Rust sucked for me so meh. What I'm trying to say is that games like this one have zero depth or longevity. They are just an attempt to make a game, and a blatant money grabbing scheme. It sucks how bad these guys are trying to ride the survival game hype train. Another great lore gone to nowhere. As if Kardashian clan was making it and not a company that made so many interesting games.

yeah i will give it a go, i enjoy survival games. I really love the open world sandbox do what ever you want thing. and i have really had alot of fun in other EA games such as 7daystodie so why not.
If these combat animations were in an MMO people would be laughing their asses off.
Also collecting large quantities of crap to make stuff just doesn't really do much for me.

I will but I'm skeptical. Not a big of funcom in general but their enthusiasm and my own hype to experience another thrilling survival game is what gets the better of me. I am a survival game fan and to have one with such a great backround with decent depth and setting. I am in.

Funcom and Early Access go hand in hand just like Dynamites and campfire. I am expecting lockboxes to drop out of trees that you can unlock using cash shop keys or a paid DLC just like ARK before it releases. Will wait till it actually releases...
