Those animations... Would they not be better off investing into TSW and AoC instead?

just looks AWFUL! The already pretty negative responses on Steam to this game are true *lost interest completely*

    Steam reviews have been brutal.

To each their own, but I'll pass.

    Looks absolutely terrible.

I watched about 2 hours of streams yesterday. Besides the technical issues, like the servers crashing, players walking on air, terrible mob AI, which can be given a pass since it's early access, the game just looked incredibly boring.

Still debating getting this.  Main issues I have is servers seem unstable and the mobs not fighting back, while excusable because "early access", is just not a good look.

I thought @DMkano was joking about the punch gathering. Now I'm in tears at my job watching this video. LOL

He has on a loin cloth. Where is he putting all the items? Don't answer that. Perhaps they could have people craft a bag, and have to store stuff in the bag. Add some features like being more encumbered the heavier the bag is and let it be apart of the gameplay.

    Either way funny stuff. Thanks.

Nothing says barbaric and "Oh that's a barbarian. Ruuun!" than a dozen of Barbarians running down a hill with a massive axe and a nice my little pony backbag on their back. Nah dude. It isn't like that and not say Ark is gospel but that doesn't fit in their setting either.

At certain points, especially in video games, you need to just not think about it so much. I can name a hundred video games where the protagonist is collecting tons but oh, oh, it magically just appears in the "inventory" think of MMORPGS in general. Plenty of them have you carrying elephant mounts in your imaginary bags and multiple weapons & armor.

I mean I get your point. It doesn't make sense from a realistic point of view but you cannot go imagining Arnold Schwarzenegger saying the iconic line after the question "What is best in life?" with a cute little backbag strung over his shoulder from his days collecting branches.

It just doesn't go with the theme and it's not like this game is preaching its realism with thirty feet gods, monsters and other non-earthly things.

    It's a survival game though.

Nice deduction there, Sherlock Holmes. You have completely nullified my point -- or did you? Let's imagine that my comparison was aimed at other video games and even, if you so prefer, survival games instead, namely even, the one I mentioned before Ark Survival Evolved. Ah also let us also, for the sake of your argument, imagine that you do in fact craft a bag would that, however, realistically explain why you are able to carry hundreds of branches, fiber, multiple weapons (polearms, swords, shields on one quickbar) and I'm guessing you'll be carrying building foundations and alike. I've seen on stream characters with not 1 or 2 but 5 weapons and I am guessing it can go even farther than that.

I mean come on. You must've known that little pointer wasn't going to help with anything and it's not like I was trying to dismantle your point beyond the fact that from my understanding 'logic' need not apply in the majority of games unless they specify their focus at realism.
So the game can have a penis slider, but having to carry a bag/pack to gather and transport goods after you finished punching them out of trees and rocks is over the top? A little risk versus reward while gathering way too much? It's a survival game, I thought the point was to add other challenges besides running around naked until you have  a sword, clothes and hovel. It's not about hyper-realism. It's about how stupid it looks and plays in 2017 compared to what's out there. I've seen Korean MMOs where you have to carry packs while moving stone and lumber to build your housing structure and needing mounts and wagons to transport bigger hauls. I didn't realize shit like that was SO next gen, and TOO real for Conan. Crom!

Bag/Packs = straw that breaks Conans back, got it Watson.

    Tew much.

    Hardcore realism ruining game.

"As far as the forum code of conduct, I would think it's a bit outdated and in need of a refre *CLOSED*"

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@BillMurphy: is it just me, or could the landscape get boring rather quickly? I only saw desert sand, desert ruins, and some desert palm trees. No mountains, no snow (Cimeria, FFS!), no grassland. Sounds like something fun for a week or so before you want to rip out your own eyes with a spoon for seeing so much desert.
I was thinking the exact same thing, everything was desert/oasis. Not sure if there are more maps available, or if new ones will be added later.

    Early Access?

I'm pretty sure they said new biomes would be made down the line during one of their streams.

Wow, this game is getting a beating on Steam!

Rubberbanding simulator, 1 button combat "system", year 2000 graphics despite unreal engine, bugs to no end etc. etc.

    I am entertained!

No problem! It's early access, so you expect some of this. I mean, it's not like anyone shelled out actual cash to play, right? Right?
