    ok Supernerd I just have to respond to your stupidity.   I am a female and I have had a computer in my house since 1978.  I have played tons of online games starting with UO and most other titles.

    I never took advantage of my sex in a game.  A lot of times I played male characters to just get away from being constantly picked on in a game.  I can also tell you that most of the flirting and such that goes on in a game is done by males playing a female character.  Also it is not our fault that games written by males make the females with ungodly busts and wear skimpy chlothes. 

    As far as computer skills go I spent 15 years as a system manager for hpux and RTE-A systems for a large pharmacutical company. 

    So get off your high horse and take your brains out of your pants.

    My aunt plays online games but she doesn't take advantage of her sex.

    My cousin is a boy and sometimes he's female characters and takes advantage of his "sex".image

    guys will act different around girls


    whether it be a simple thing like her puting hun in front of everything she says for no reason

    could be some guy on his alt pretending to be a girl to get free stuff

    fact is


    when we have interaction whether they be faking it or not

    it can and does change my game environment from time to time

    for no good reason


    and it would be better off if i knew for sure everyone was male


    i really cant say ban all chicks

    but it would be great if

    the only females in mmorpg were npc

    and the real women were off doing women stuff


    and yes in many games
    Female avatars have huge boobs why?

    cause these games are meant for guys!

    I don't treat girls any differently than I treat guys in game, mostly because they're usually all guys lol It's adolescent teens or socially stunted adults who usually hit on girls in game. I just try and be a decent person to everyone and treat them how I would like to be treated.

No buisness can afford to get rid of, or lose, 25% of its customers. Since no company would want to lose 25% of its customers, then it is FALSE that companies can survive without women gamers.

      BTW, did you know it was women who helped to create the internet? Yes, there were women scientists working with male scientists to create the internet, and work out all the bugs.

      Have you met every women gamer? And how in the world are YOU able to tell if a female avatar in game is really a real female human in real life?

     Since you cannot tell, then your point here is moot! You have no way of knowing if it is really a male player taking advantage of your naievity, your naieve self!

    BTW, have you ever heard of the World Cyber Games? It is the top world contest of all the top gamers in the world. Playing every single major computer game. And guess what? There are female gamers who qualify, and make it to the top ranks. The entry all the way to the semi-finals for every country takes place in each country. The finals are held in Korea. I had a chance to watch the USA semi-finals in New York City some years ago.

     I have seen with my own eyes, and met, hardcore female gamers at many arcades who are better, or just as good, as the male players. I have been to PC Bangs and watched, and met hardcore female players who are better than, or as good as male players. I have watched them play EQ, EQ2, WoW, SWG, Lin1, Lin2, Diablo II, as well as Counter-Strike, and many other games. Heck, I learned how to play Counterstrike from one of the best players IN the entire USA, and she is female. (She has owned many PC Bang computer game tournaments. Winning tons of money, and prizes.)

      Let me ask you something, imagewhen you go to the arcade (or on console, or on the PC) and play a game like say... Tekken... Dead or Alive....... Soul Calibur...... Mortal Kombat..... Killer Instinct....., do you go crazy over the female characters on the screen? Do you want to date whoever is playing the ultra-sexy female character? LOL! Now do you get an idea of how immature your thread, your rant, is? And how bad you make yourself look? In Killer Instinct when the super-sexy female unzips her jacket and exposes herself, imageimage do you instantly want to date the real life human who is playing her? imageLOL! Or when the female character turns around, sticks her butt out, and smacks it with one hand while cooing in a sultry voice, do you instantly want to get the phone number of the real life human playing the game as her? imageLOL!

    Hrm...I see the point his making. And I think some of you are taking it too much to the extreme(losing your civility and getting riled up, isn't the way to answer this; it even shows a lack of maturity in some of you.)

    Although more or less what would in fact solve the problem wouldn't be to exclude all male gamers, or all female gamers, making it a segregated gaming experience.

    But rather to keep all the horny pubescent nerds out of the game; those that don't have a interaction with the opposite sex outside of cyb0rzing. So they don't hit on the female avatars that may type in /dance

    I make female characters and beg for items and currency in popular player hangouts. It helps if the game allows you to strip the character to her underwear.

    Listen Asmodeeus, seven years ago, Ultima Online didn't even have those pathetic "quests" that you refer to or those "professions" of ninja, samurai, necromancer, and paladin.     Hrmm, that reminds me.  My brother once pulled this off in FFXI and it was entirely with emotes.  If you can believe it, the patron was some Japanese guy, didn't speak any English, forked over 10,000 gil.  I watched in disbelief, jealous amazement, and disgust because he was using the tarutaru model.  image
