no one will waste time installing a twitch desktop app when steam already exists. It will fail.
It's going to be a raging success and steam will start to fall behind.
I will lay money down that it will not succeed in doing anything significant to Steam. It will be like GoG or GMG. They sell games through their own app, but there's no significant impact to Steam.
Amazon is not a perfect success. Their Fire Phone, for instance, flopped. They're just dipping their toes in certain waters, is all. This will be a minor thing, and they won't make any large impact on Steam.
I'm on Twitch every day watching games, hangin with streamers and viewers. But I have zero interest in buying games from Twitch when I already have Steam (where most of my games reside), or any number of other apps like Origin, Uplay, Glyph, Rockstar Launcher, etc. But Steam is where most of my games are at. And that's where they're going to continue to stay.

My money is on the table too, in the form of AMZN stock shares.
Not everything Amazon does works. I can see fail written all over this move. People don't want another game library on their system, already have too many.
I have to laugh at the people who think this is a given.
Amazon can go jump in a lake if they think I am going to install Twitch.
