I'd leave with my head held low. This game was a piece of trash.
I like to complain about games.

I guess if he wanted to accomplish making a mediocre (at best) game, job well done Mr Ellison.

Just once, I would like to see someone leave a gaming company and tell the truth. I understand why they dont but it would be awesome to see a CEO post and say "We fired Joe Donut because his work sucked a mountain of butt the size of an imperial star destroyer"

    :)

Deploying a screwball patch and then jumping ship is a real classy move.

"New Horizons" in this case means anywhere but the burning building that is EC.

Hopefully nobody will be stupid enough to give him, or any of the other jokers in control over at BI a job again. They're a bunch of liars and thieves who pulled one of the biggest bait and switch jobs in the gaming industry since Aliens: Colonial Marines, and I wouldn't trust any of them to build a Big Mac correctly at this point, much less another game.

Behaviour Interactive is right up there with Gearbox, Undead Labs, and Portalarium on my list of developers to avoid at all costs.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

I'm not surprised, I finally bought the 40 dollar pack a while ago, but this goes to show what GamesWorkshop is a blight on anything not actual 40k product (then again they strong on that, which has worked to their advantage) but overall the games have promise and get beat down.

This is one of those that the finished product is not what I was purchasing.

It's impossible to know which people were at fault for just how terrible Eternal Crusade turned out to be. Whether this guy played a major role in screwing up the game or not, I think we can all agree that abandoning the game is the best move anyone associated with it can do.

I am sure this site would try it's best to give the game an 8.
I looked way back and long ago this site would actually give a 4,i don't think i have ever seen anything less than a 6 in many years here.So basically this site gives every single game a passing grade lol,so much for integrity.

As to the thread, does ANYONE even have a remote clue who this guy was that we needed a thread about him? lmao ,i know i have never heard of him once at any point in my gaming career.

Actually, this site gave the game a 4.8 with a highly critical review, which I suppose is still well above what this trainwreck deserves. But we do live in an age in which games can release with crashes on startup, so we do have to allow for varying degrees of total failure.

With the new gw co they are looking better. I feel that EC was released by the old CEO from gw. Look at dawn of war that felt like 40k. It was not hand costs by gw that badly till dw2 and some xpacs.
What bothered me was so much money for so little. I was leery on most pc gw games that was not dawn of war. Space marine comes to mind, space hulk so mad I bought that pos.
So yeah. I watched laughed and said NOOPE keep your dumpsterfire game.

The main problem with this game is folks perceptions. Its a pretty decent lobby shooter. Not as polished as MW or COD but more varied and engaging than either of them. You can play a hundred games and shoot a modern assault rifle at someone, but how man games can you blow up tanks with stickbombs and spout off hillarious orky proverbs and catchisms while you do it. They should have paid back anyone who was investing in the open world pipe dream mmorpg because it has been their non stop whining that the majority of folks have listened to. Try the game with an open mind when ftp hits and i bet you you will find your guilty pleasure weekend getaway game.

I thought captains were supposed to stay on their sinking ships and it was just the rats that abandoned them first. Then again, this one has been laying firmly on the ocean floor after having barely making it out of the harbour....

What a disaster of a game, not to speak of the original vision and game that was promised to many a backer. I almost invested too....

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'
