WildStar News - As pointed out by the official site and MOP, the Power of the Primal Matrix update is now live in WildStar and Nexus! The main focus of this update is on the end-game progression, adding a never-ending set of progression mechanics to keep your character growing beyond 50 - you even get a free level 50 to try it out.

It's just been discovered that you can create a level 50 character on both the EU and NA megaservers, which is great news if you hop between them both.

end game should be just that, time to retire that character.
I wonder if any developer will truly create a role playing game that acts like one, that means NO end game, only death and an actual realistic feature where you play out like a real person would meaning older and wiser but more feeble and weak with age

WS is way too much like WOW or any of it's clones, just a mixed bad of content tossed together to form a game but acts nothing like a role playing game should.

I have never in all my 50+ years sat around and dreamed that i could role play as a character that runs around looking for markers over people's heads so i can click them or talk to them.So many developer's just don't get it,they have no clue how to make a plausible real role plying game.99% of these devs are simply doing what is cost effective or what  the status quo accepted by other developers. For once i would like to see a developer THINK for themselves and use common sense in the design.

Why would you want to play an MMO that has no end game. I understand the want to have less focus on end game, but you seriously want to get to the max level or end of the story and just retire? I don't want to progress and progress and progress in a game or in my skills, and just have it wane off in the end because my character got old. I don't think the developers aren't thinking for themselves, I think they are thinking about the potential audience, and your idea of what you want is incredibly niche, I don't think I know anyone who would want that in an MMORPG personally. I play MMORPG's to escape reality, I don't want to grow old and have my character die. Or have nothing to chase after anymore. Sure I don't want every game to have a raiding focused gear grind end game, but alternative progression is something I personally enjoy. Maybe you should go play some single player games and retire afterwards in each game. That seems to fit what you want more.

Personally I don't like the "jump to the cap" offers in games, but everyone's play style is different I guess... but even if I won't use it, the timing is very fortunate. Haven't played Wildstar in month, and TSW's Golden week just finished today so I could use some break (after the massive golem hunting  )
Updating the Wildstar client now, can't wait to play my fluffy bunny settler...

There ia always a problem with how these things are handled. I tried it just to see how it worked. The first thing i found was forget about the holo wardrobe. You have zero funds to use it and an inventory full of stuff you need to bank. Even then you run out of bank space. Of course you can use real money to buy your way out of these problems.

    Huh?

So the only revamped class was the Stalker, according to the patch notes ?

You need to make a new character to attain the free 50. If you have no slots open you need to delete a character or purchase a character slot.

Good to hear.  I did that with SWTOR when the game game out NA was down but you could make other characters on EU if you wanted to play and Skyforge let you do that as well.

Logged in today and ignored the 50 boost.
I did however play my char from 41 to 42 and I was having fun.
Maybe this time I will reach max level before I quit again.. I really do want to see the full story before they pull the plug on the game.

Same here, just hopped around on my plot, did a few missions while having fun. Not saying I will stay for long, but there's still 2 weeks until the Spring festival starts in LotRO, so I can use some "aside" game time till then

I see only Jabbit and can't even switch to an another realm... probably some fiddling needed with the launcher, will check it later. A place for a new batch of Exiles is always welcomed

edit: found it meanwhile, and since I have no alts there I've tried the lvl50 creator option (for a chua  ). Works pretty smooth, just one extra box at the end about 'sure you want to use up the lvl50?', then drops you in, with full on the class and selected path, in a decent enough gear, and with two boxes in the inventory (for class and path). I claimed one of the mounts from the acc.inventory, and started to move around, checking this Primal matrix thingy, etc.

I think I will just switch back to my regular characters, this jump-ahead feels awkward...
