Two Person Gaming Desk

Truvidien88Truvidien88 Member UncommonPosts: 462
Greetings,

So my girlfriend and I are looking into buying a gaming desk where we can save more space in the room while gaming right next to each other.. However we can't really find anything under $250. Was looking to see if anyone has any opinions.

Thanks!

I have a couple of these in my house for arts and crafts, but they are certainly sturdy enough for gaming too unless you pound your desk a lot in frustration.  The 72" table is certainly long enough for two people to sit at with their desktops parked on either side or two laptops on the table itself.

    I'd check the resale stores.

I bought something like this from Home Depot. Took off the bottom two shelves and the upper section above the middle shelf.  Use the bottom section with just the middle shelf for a desk and the upper part with the three selves as a regular shelf.  Mine came with no wheels and I think it cost around $150.00  This thing will probably last forever.  I have three 24" monitors on mine and the computer sits on a separate low table.

May work.  It's the desk I just bought but with computer chairs it might be tight fit and would have to sit on the edges(there are bigger corner desks though that may work better.

If you're okay with 2 meter table, just go to closest Ikea:

You're not going to get a nice computer desk for two on your desired budget.

I built my own. Went to my friend in a wood shop and had him cut out 2 pieces of "kitchen bench". Then i went to ikea and bought legs for them. Paid maybe €100 for that. Also built the keyboard/mouse drawers from custom cut wood pieces and just stuff i found in a hardware shop. So it was around €160 if you include those.

I agree, you aren't going to find much pre-built that's very nice.

If your handy, you can put something together that will work (like @timtrack). You can get what's called "Project Panel" from Home Depot for pretty cheap, a few legs on it, and build up from there. 2'x4' panel of that runs about $20. You might need 2-3 panels to make something big enough, but it's doable with just an electric drill, some table legs, and some wood screws.
