I was awed by Dragons Lair back at the dawn of the 1980's ;)

I bought an Amiga version back in the day. It came with 23 floppy disks if memory serves me right. You had to change them every couple encounters.

It was quite the pain in the ass ;)

Oh yes, I remember thinking Dragon's Lair was the pinnacle of arcade gaming.

Quick little story on that, I also had a amiga got it Christmas of 1990 maybe 91. I remember the computer programmer or IT guy at my moms work at the time was trying to convince me to get a IBM instead of the Amiga because there was so much more of a  extensive and larger library of games. I was too sold on the idea of owning Dragons lair though lol It was actually a big mistake because if  I remember correctly by 93 amiga producers had stopped making games, But  o Loom,TV Sports basketball, Omni play horse racing ,street rod , It came from the dessert such great games. Good memories

I would love to see a Dragons Lair open world rpg or even a dragons lair action game in the style of dark souls, But the Don Bluth art style would be a must. In relation to my original post i think alot of the charm of the new zelda game comes from the art style . Of course don bluth's style was a bit more "darker" and dungeon dragonszy but still similiar

I think the Dark Souls types of games pretty much cover that now.  I also had an Amiga and played Dragons Lair on it after playing it in the arcades.  I'm still amazed at playing on a system without a hard drive.

It was pretty amazing, some of the games that would fit on a single floppy. I remember looking at a 30meg Amiga hard drive for the cool price of $1200 cad ;)

I made the switch from the Amiga to a Samsung 286 which had a hard drive included for $1800 and salivating at the 386's starting at about $3200. My Amiga 1000 cost me $2450 back in 1986. I sold it and bought an Amiga 500 with a $300 500k ram upgrade so I could play Dungeon Master. You needed a whopping 1meg of ram to play Dungeon Master ;)
