Strange it's been nearly two years since and still new content coming out but "it was over the minute it went f2p" huh

yes it is 2 years.. and the game is empty as it always was.. the game has failed.. why they even waist their time and keep adding content,,?

I played this game shortly after release and it was a ghost town, how is the population these days? Felt too cartoony to me

Population isn't huge but I can log in for an hour run a couple dungeons kill a world boss or two and join a pvp match. So there are enough people to do what you want.

When I get some more time, I want to give this one another shot. While I understand that the stylized graphics aren't for everyone, there is a lot to love about this game when given a chance.

    New Content?

PvE leaderboards = a UI to show clear times and who knows what else
Prime Content = rehashed existing content
Shared Realm Bank = account storage, neat
Madam Faye's = $$$ gambling items, unsurprisingly most likely got the most dev time

This is just fluff stuff, not real content - it is good that they are updating the game but let's call a spade a spade, ok?

Ppl bash this game but yet it's still going strong it. Love it active sub and will continue to play till they shut it down.

They need a new class and level cap increase or something.

They'll probably pull the plug soon though since they are looking for new talent on a new project. Highly doubt they have enough funding to support both at this point given how much actual new content they have either slowly produced or opted to not produce at all anymore (i.e. no more new raids).

Those asshats at carbine studios need to totally expand the game, new continents, new zones , new classes, new level cap. not just craft items to put in game store for you to spend money on, thats not content. Until they do this , this game is dead forever. If they cant do this, just shut the game down, why even bother.

Well, when you close read the posts by "bashers," it's clear that they may have tried Wildstar at some point, but never followed it for any decent amount of time. After all, there have been nice content updates besides adding convinience and other "fluff."
Not an active Wildstar player myself, but I love to dive in it sometimes. Stylistics appeal to me, gameplay is fun and challenging. I believe, Carbine's found that sweet balance spot between fun and challenge, actually. Usually it's either rather frustrating than challenging, or too easy to an extent when you bypass any amount of content without even noticing it.
And I don't understand why people don't actually check out all the changes before bashing it. Funnily enough, most of their complaints have already been addressed to and implemented. It's really only Wildstar's bad reputation that prevents it from rising at this point.

I used to go back from time to time, the housing is still amazing and I like the writing (though it's a bit cheesy sometimes  ).
When they did the jumpstart 50 offer I logged back (not for the jumpstart, for dusting off my old characters), and ended up creating a new one, and logging back since then every 1-3 days for a short session / slowly leveling him up.

I wouldn't say it's dead, it's still a fun game and there are quite some players in the lower regions too, which means frequent new players, since the xp flow is very fast, so usually when I log back after a couple days break, the player I did an open world event with, is already near the cap   (true, there was an xp-boost event the weekend, that may helped too)

Anyways, the shared bank will be a very useful addition I think.

The housing is an absolute gem in this game so many customizable options and placements. I used to check out the homes that were popular and was astounded by what people managed in their plot of land. People are so clever and innovative and they were given the tools in this game while EQ2 can boost about the interior freedom and choice for decor you had the whole outside land in Wild*. Glad to see them still supporting the game.
