Help me choose a game, in your opinion

Heya. i am an experienced mmo player. Have tried almost every single mmo out there and have been mostly playing wow for the past years. However i wanna play something else in between cause im getting a bit burned out with wows content. I recently tried Tera but the levelling atm is pretty boring and i do not know if the end game is worth it. I want a game with good combat and good end game. The end game is the most important part for me. I was thinking of wildstart, black desert, tera(if the end game is worth it) or something else if you have anything in mind :). Let me know :D cheers

    Hi,

You can check out Albion Online if you want a game you can play right now. This is the link:

    https://albiononline.com/?ref=TZAEUBV1LD

It's a sandbox MMO playable on multiple platforms, including mobile ones.

If you are willing to wait for some time and follow the development of an waesome game, I would strongly suggest Ashes of Creation. You can make an account and then check out videos and stuff. The game is on Kickstarter right now and is supposed to launch in about 18 months. This is the link:

    I hope this helps.

Guild Wars 2 is great for someone who is getting fed up with the WoW formula. It doesn't have the gear grind you're probably used to but it's got plenty of end game. You've probably tried it but just in case you haven't you can do for free. Maybe try it again.

If you want something like WoW then your best option is Rift.

As much I would like to recommend Albion Online, I don't think a long-time WoW player is going to be happy with it unless they are specifically looking for that style of gameplay.

Don't get me wrong. I love AO and it's the only MMO I'm playing these days.

It's not for everyone though. GW2 might be a better choice, if the OP Can still stomach those kind of games.

Ascended Gear (Gw2) does requires (lots of ) grind, tho. And the recipes are locked behind a timewall, forcing you to do a bit every day or so (log in every day or 2) or it will take forever.
I want an end game which wont be too grindy and would make me feel the progression. Like in the beginning i dont deal too much damage for example but as im getting gear i get a lot better. Similar to balck desert

Thats what i think im going for tbh. You can still be strong ven if you dont play all day long ( not if you want to be in the top though of course) and its really unique with tons of things to do

    Hi foti,

I would recommend to try out Final Fantasy 14 Online. You can play for free until level 35, but one character can learn all jobs and sub-jobs ;) I also played a lot of different MMORPGs, but FFXIV attracted me the most with its story, immersion, nice world design/graphics and atmosphere. I think you will like it, if you like games like WoW.

I was also on the search of something new (Black Desert Online, The Elders Scroll Online etc.) in that genre and was quite impressed, when I played FFXIV without true expectations. The server are full, the community is quite kind (but there are also a few arrogant experts ;) ).

Tera is a fun game at heart, unfortunately (IMO) the end-game is solely based on RNG "enchanting" and therefore all about luck, not skill.  I found an awful lot of elitism there, if you're not in +15 or +20 or +30 (or whatever the new sauce is), good luck finding a group that will take you.  You'll grind mats forever, then attempt to "enchant" your gear, fail 99% of the time, go back to grinding mats, rinse and repeat.  The combat is sublime but there really is nothing else to the game.

If you're an old WoW hat like I was, as a few others said here you may want to check out FF 14: ARR.  It didn't hold my interest, but it is obviously a very well-done game, and the community is rather large.  Plus as a sub game you don't have to worry about being herded to the cash shop, as it is in WoW you will get everything you need simply by playing the game.

BDO was fun for me for a while, but the texture pop-in was so horrific I just couldn't stay with it.  If you can ignore that, or play on a mainframe that can somehow minimize the issue, you may well like it, cause it is really pretty (when you aren't moving, lol) and I found the combat to be fun, if a bit spammy.  Plus it has quite a bit of content beyond just killing mobs.

       Good luck!
