After all that, I'm tempted to pick up Civilization VI and possibly Prey. I might look at getting Watch Dogs 2 and Pillars of Eternity as well, but I'm in no rush there.
Grab the Deluxe, they are throwing in 2 more scenario packs beyond the 4 to make it right with customers since most people didn't feel the 4 were a good value.
btw. this is single handedly the best item in this sell imho because it out from EA in August and its a sandbox game. Its addictive and if you are playing it with friends its even better. I have been playing it since 1st month of EA, have 2k+ hours in it and i want to get rid of it and get rid of the curse that this game brought upon myself but i cant...yet )))
Killing Floor is free on Humble Bundle for the next 48H.

Other great games, most with multi. Mount & Blade: Warband 75% ($4.99) +Napoleon DLC ($2.49), Verdun 75% off ($6.24), Killing Floor 2 is 50% off ($14.99), Day of Infamy is 40% off (11.99), Squad is 50% off ($19.99), State of Decay Year One is 67% off ($9.89, Project Zomboid is 40% off ($8.99), Don't Starve is 75% off ($3.74)
Just get ARK. Those games cant be compared. In ARK u can build anything underwater, it has sick creatures u/w, u/w caves and tons of u/w dinos AND you can also build on Land.
Every single day there are sales on Steam, why would there be a dedicated time period to recognize sales? That is all i buy on Steam is sales and have been doing so since forever,no need to push for more Steam advertising, they do just fine without any push from this website, actually they do a LOT more than just fine.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

they have these seasonal sales (today being one of them) in which a great deal of titles have deep discount and people go absolutely ape shit over it and then a few weeks later complain that they have so many games they have never played.
its a thing
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.

Summersale is useless since they changed it from having a few highly discounted games for a few days or even having 8 hour flash sales etc., to having everything discounted the whole sale - but only regular discounts.
Not *one* game on my wishlist has a new historical low. Some don't even match that.
You can buy all these games during weekend sale, midweek madness or
during a sale that happens because they hadn't any sale lately.
The only difference is that with summer sale, you know that price will last two whole weeks instead of only one week or a weekend. But if it regularly drops to 50% anyways..
Even Shadow of Mordor, one of the games that actually *is* highly discounted, was already cheaper before. Not on Steam, but there are other stores out there you know, most of which even give you a Steam copy. Others are barely cheaper than before, e.g. TESO Morrowind. But: The base game is $30 right now, compared to the historical low of $2.50. So if you have the base game, you save like $4 compared to the previous best price, and if you dont, you need to spent $25 more than the previous best price if you want both. Yeah, awesome sale.
I can't even imagine it's good for indie developers and such. If it's during weekend sale or midweek madness, Steam does a popup presenting a handful (at most) games (or a developer sale instead of a single game). Now, there are hundreds of games vying for attention and the store doesn't even work properly. The game in question also most likely does not offer anything new over what it did yesterday, last week or a month ago, compared to when doing a sale after releasing a substantial patch.
Maybe, just *maybe* they learned from the last few years and at least do a final sale on the last (few) days with actual noteworthy discounts. But i fear the masses see "summer sale" and go crazy. Brain shuts off, wallet opens, and everyone is happy, until you notice that it's even cheaper the first weekend after the summer sale has ended.
Tl:dr: Sale is pointless like this. If i wanted to buy those games at this price, i would have done so long before.
I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore
Most of the sales feel meh in terms of % discount. Just because it may say 50% doesn't mean its always a good deal especially if the retail is still overpriced, but then again overpriced can be subjective.
Amazing game - similar to Civilisation in many ways, but in real time. It has pretty elaborate politics and citizen mechanics. You people can migrate between your planets. Similarly, stomping over another civilisation and assimilating their race is not always best, because your own people may conflict with the immigrants.
Good fun overall. Playing it reminds me of Star Trek a little, with all the exploration and strange civilisations.

Thanks for the tip - I'll probably grab it next week.

Paradox pulled a Rockstar and raised the prices of their games to profit off the summer sale, then rolled them back after people complained, well kinda. The prices can not be changed till after the summer sale. Not sure if I can support that shit.
Steam client took 5 minutes to extract my package and then it did a clean up. Anyways, I got a spare $20 that I will probably throw at something if anything gets my eye. Dead Cells looks interesting maybe.
Like I've posted in another thread, I stopped looking at AAA games and their risk/originality aversion because of the big budgets involved so my list looks a LOT different then most.
Here are some beautiful gems amongst the less bigger titles that I bought:
Badlands The Flame in the Flood House of Many Doors Seraph Rogue Wizards
All less then 10 bucks and each one a great and exciting game.

I saw the sale and went on to buy Morrowind from PSN full-price instead. Yeah I'm funny like that.

You cant compare those 2 games. Its like playing a 2000 and a 2017 4k game as everything
