Ok, I had a nice laugh on that...
hmmm, even though I've had issues with their launcher over the years, I have been playing recently and everything works just fine.
Have you updated your computer, what operation system are you using? Have you even tried contacting support?

I use Win 10 64 bit. All my drivers are up to date. I use Nvidia GTX 1070
There must be something else going on. What do you have running while you run the game? Any virus software? What's going on in the background? Do you have the game installed in the default place or somewhere else?

I don't. I have a pretty clean running system. No background tasks. 16 gb ram. I do run on SSD m.2 pcie so maybe that has something to do with it, but other than that everything looks normal.
Yeah, I don't use steam I use their launcher.
In any case, I'm downloading bullroarer now as I want to check out the changes. Thanks to Filbur for the video, Their work is definitely a step in the right direction.
In truth it sort of reminds me of some of the face mods for the original morrowind. Still the same avatars and the like but "just" that much for definition/artistry in the faces.
Also the hair is a lot better (I would love to discuss with the original artist why he thought the hair he did, in some cases was even passable)

I'm not impressed with the new avatars. At all. Too bad, if they'd done a better job I'd have gone back. Their avatars and animations have always been off putting.
These look better than the original avatars given what's being worked with. As I mentioned, the update is more akin to what modders did with the original Morrowind within the framework of what they could do. I suspect the same here. When in game, if one clicks the box with "avatar update visible" one can see how much better they are, a bit more natural, than the original avatars. It's that side to side comparison that is important. Still, while there are many better hair styles there are some that really need to be changed. Most likely, since these are said to be works in progress, some of these issues will be ironed out (hopefully). lol, I should add that "there you are" in the new high elf starter/story area and you are surrounded with a "who's who" of Middle Earth notables and you look like a vagrant. Everyone else was fighting with beautiful equipment, the elves' swords were "elven". And my guardian had a club with nails hammered into it. Not sure how they let me into that that party.

Just a comment about crashing problem. Windows 7 introduced a "stability" feature called timeout detection and recovery. This meant that when graphics driver stops responding it gets reset. Older applications like lotro can crash when reset. Windows gpu power savings can trigger a tdr. For me fix was disabling power savings of gpu.
Check your event viewer after a crash what error are you seeing?
