Originally posted by DoomReaper Strange, you must be playing on your own Horizons shard, might explain why you think there's no-one around... As for lag, yeah right. Maybe you're confusing client performance with server lag, the former has problems, no-one is denying that. The latter is practically non-existent. <snipped> Lag (delay in responses from the servers) : next to nothing, especially compared to WoW or EQ2. Monsters can be found in plentiful supplies. Population is not thousands of players per shards, but it is most certainly hundreds of players on at the same time.

Hundreds?
Would these numbers be accurate?

I would say the player drain has stopped and they are gaining. But the momentum has been lost for the time being. This is an interesting thread. I am otw to try the game again. Upon launch, I played for almost a year and finally gave up for the usual reasons.
I was surprised at how little had changed when the "come back for a month" promo came out earlier this year. Seems like the graphics had improved slightly, but the resources had all been moved around. It was also strange having to go back to town any time you wanted to do final combines.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the retry. I hope it's a robust world that is easy to craft in.
