IF it even happens. People need to stop taking a dev mentioning something once as confirmed stuff that will happen, especially stuff that will be influenced if the community feedback is heavily against it.
Oh Max, let them play.
They want to make a multi page thread out of a 2 second offhand side note in a 40 minute video. Ignoring everything else. Not discussing any of the other gameplay issues presented. So be it.

It's not our fault even poo jokes are more entertaining than the gameplay SC offers.

Speak for yourself.
I feel very entertained. Maybe you should consider playing with a different group of people ....
There is one other game this reminds me of particularly with all the toilet use and that is will Star Citizen be: The Sims, but in space!
Also, can you hire a maid to come round and clean your ship/t for you
Lol! I was actually thinking earlier that they are turning the game into "Sim Citizen" at this rate. And clearly the maid would be the robot from the old "The Jetsons" cartoons
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Star Citizen since its pitch has some of The Sims on it.
You'll see the AI of the game itself is the sims like, NPCs and such have needs and drivers and do not just follow a scripted loop.
So in terms of big ships, your AI crew (that you have even if you have a player crew) have work schedules, will eat, sleep, shower, poop, whatever. This was mainly created for SQ42.

Actually they could probably sell 'robot maids' in the game, with price varying on services and er.. appearance

You mean, you think this is being created, as it is not available for backers to play with yet.

Excellent. Lets add some Westworld/Real Humans to the mix. I know what I'll be saving up for.

But fans making multi-page threads drooling, speculating, screenshotting and making gifs out of 2 second reveals for the latest $400 jpeg shown in a 40 minute video is all perfectly fine and how real Star Citizens should behave.....
Coming soon in the next SC "sale": A $5,000 Ironman Backer Package that allows your character to only have to poop once every two weeks. And perhaps a $10,000 option that lets him/her poop when you're offline so it doesn't interfere with your gameplay? Considering how much they sell "ships" for, I'd say this would be right in line with everything else.

On that note I wonder whether the 600i will come with a bidet.

You fail to mention that a typical new ship reveal looks like this
with a brochure as PDF, with a 1-2 minute video, with rotating wireframe and X-ray 3D model, with a spec sheet, with a list of optional modules and variants. Often with a short fluff story. And a 40+ pages in-depth article about the development of this new concept ship in the "Jump Point" magazine.
Because YOU did not watch for more than 2 seconds (and do not even know many of the other available sources of information) does not mean that there is not A LOT more for the fans to discuss.

That ship reminds me a lot of the Imperial Agent's on SWTOR! I love it! I'll be saving up for it while chilling on my buddy's ship(s) when the game goes live.

Which all comes way after the tiny little glimpses given in ATVs and the like.
But what are you getting at here, that you want brochures on poop? That's going a bit too far in my opinion Erillion...

And all of that means jack when the devs can decide to change the specs silently and not inform backers

You do not read the "Jump Point" Magazine and do not see the pictures in "The Vault", right ?

When did the 600i get advertised via a Jump Point magazine or brochure?
People were speculating about the 600i way back in April (and quite possibly even before then) which means they got some snippet from somewhere, but the actual ship and pricing didn't get revealed until late August/early September. So months of discussion and speculation over a tiny bit of info, ie new ship Origin 600i. That's my point.
Not sure if this has been asked already but my main question is; will it have good poop physics if you drop one off in space? I hope they take the word 'floater' to a whole new scientifically realistic level. Whilst on the subject, can we also eat things to influence how our poop looks e.g sweetcorn to get some good ole chunks in it, or a dodgy curry to inspire some rapid fire bowel movements? What if we miss the loo? does it result in a serious leg gravy situation, if so what then?!?! I am intrigued, the options are nigh on endless
