I never played Darkest Dungeon so I can't make a comparison there. I didn't like the art and graphic style and how the characters stand out in the teaser videos. This looks more visually cohesive to me. Definitely worth putting on the watch list.

Yea me to Torval , you ever play Silverfall , great cel-shaded game ,unique world with Diablo like game play .. Kinda flew under alot of peoples radar ..

Ive gotten it to work each time ive wanted to play it , dont think ive tried with win 10 .. will check now.. Ohh and get the Earth Awkening ..Stand alone exp



 update : Ok got it to run , after fixing the PhysX 2.4.4 error .. Then np .. Follow these instructions .....From the Steam forums

  So . also be sure to gon itno Steam/Steamapps/Common and launch the set up first also, like he reccommnended..

  Then Browse the Local files for the game thru Steam for the Physx fix


know this might be an old thread, but i'll post some helpful info here either way.

The PhysX error will show up, regardless.

What you have to do is, browse local files.

Go into the PhysX folder and click on the PhysX installer to get the old version installed.

Don't worry, it won't mess up anything, but it is required to play the game.

Install it, set your game to compat mode "Windows 7" and run as administrator.

You should now be able to start the game without any issues.

I recommend launching the setup first to sort out the game resolutions etc before going into the game itself.

altho i have both i only just installed Earth Awakening , and Steam doesnt show the original version installed

Thank you both for the suggestions. I was just looking for playable titles on my ultrabook, you know how it is, it is not a computer unless you game on it.

Update :  Ok you do need both to play the orginal Campaign
 
    Install Silverfall ... Verify Files..

    Install Earth Awkening .. Verify files


             Then follow the instructions for PhysX and your settings above

  Then you run the game From Earth Awkening , and you can start at lvl 1 the orginal campaign

 So any fan of Darkest Dungeon would like this ...  chk it out ...

Deep Sky Derelicts has left EA and is being well received by the community , Very intersting unique and fun game .. More comments above to get a better description of game

yes it does , very much Darkest Dungeons in space with its own exploration ,flavor and builds
