I play a game because I like the game and game play, not because of whether I like micro-transactions or not. I don't care enough about them to let it worry or bother me. If people want to spend their cash and get something extra, then so be it, it's up to them but it's not forced on me.
I wouldn't avoid a game just because someone else gets to buy stuff with money - that seems like cutting my nose off to spite my face.
I get satisfaction from earning stuff and I will work towards that. If someone kills me because they bought better stuff than I have, who cares, I will work to match them and get enjoyment from doing so. I won't necessarily know if they bought or earned it and then I've re-spawned and am carrying on.
Too many people seem to get upset about what others are doing. If you like the gameplay then just play the game and stop getting your knickers in a twist.
I know the cry-babies will give the game a zero on metacritic JUST because of the cash shop element. How about you just don't buy it, don't play it and don't review it then.
So what do you think of the other stuff Joe talked about? The fact that the poorest and best player both get exact the same reward? That is something that at least annoy me a lot.
