I think the genre was fine.. ARPG just like the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, I just think they backed the wrong horse for development.
Based on reddit comments by former lead Doomsaw, the PC version will be shuttering. I don't know the status of the console versions though. They clearly don't have top notch developers or designers. I won't really miss this game very much.

Honestly, it's so much more...so MUCH more....than just the game. I'm...stunned. Literally. I can't believe Disney and Marvel haven't stepped in to get the company in order.
No, I have no inside information. But, don't you think They have? The Story reads to me like the plug has been pulled, the office if empty and there is no one at the wheel any more. Whoever has the job of getting the word out that operations are over, has failed.
Dohrmann's alleged behavior may be the root cause. Focus may be only on dealing with this issue and not the game. Meaning money is now going only to lawyers and potentially settlements.
There is zero info that there were even layoffs, which would be expected if the plug was pulled.

There are two types of employees working at S.T.E.M. companies. Direct Hires & Contractors (Job Shoppers), work for two separate companies. The Direct Hires are employed by the principle company, and you will hear when they fire Directs. Contractors are employed by the secondary company, and technically they are never fired. At the first smell of smoke, Contractors stop work and get on their company phone at their desk and start networking the next job. Weeks or months before Word becomes official, they leave. If a better project starts up, contractors leave. Some don't even finish the day, let alone the week. This is why they are often & jokingly called "dirty contractors."

Any mmo-arpg hybrid is doomed in the west - I've been saying this for over a year.
Western gamers love ARPGs like PoE/Diablo series/Grim dawn - which all have oodles of gear and build options.
That's why mmo-arpg hybrids do so poorly - they are limited in gear and have very few build/skills options.
This is why Lost Ark is doomed in the west - limited systems, limited replayability
That's fairly contradictory. You say they are doomed in the west, and then name ARPGs... one that is specifically an mmo-arpg hybrid in Path of Exile, which has done really well.

A few extra things to consider:
Q3 ends at the end of Sept.
Dorman skips the live stream that was planned weeks in advance due
to "last min conflicts". As I posted before, this simply does not
happen. A CEO's schedule is at minimum set a week in advance to make
sure there are no conflicts. He either dodged it on purpose and this was
the excuse we were given, or there was some form of "emergency" that
week.
He made his account private on the 11th of Oct...the same day he skipped the live stream.
Changes to OP were announced on the 13th.
There has been no communication not only on these forums, but also no responding/promo tweets sent out AT ALL since Oct 22nd.
No Thor Ragnarok event or mentions of the Halloween event that have
nothing to do with OP. Missing a huge Marvel movie is a major red flag.

They tossed a good chunk of the theorycrafting out the window with the "biggest update ever" which simplified hero skill builds. Sure, at that point the meta was such that most players used cookie cutter builds anyways but a GOOD development studio would have balanced the game so there was no need for cookie cutter builds rather than make it so you could ONLY use cookie cutter builds and nothing else.
reguardless of whats is or isn't happening behind the scenes its an embarrassment to Disney an Marvel as a whole on how gazillion has been allowed to continuely mislead, neglect, an blatantly lie to the players an fans of this game... the audacity of the devs upon players genuine queries an concerns just on the site forums should be punished by firing them.. the game would not exist if not for the player/fans.. gazillion brought it on themselves an all the players that supported them to the point of in game harassment an bullying just because a player was displeased an rightfully so for any number of issues... I for one had played since day one.. an seen the community become so toxic that literally couldn't be logged for more than 1min an someone is getting critisied or bad mouthed because they where asking a legitmate question.. tbh I think gaz should crawl back from what ever rock it was under an forgo any other future privilege opportunity.. since they obviously squandered an pissed this great opportunity away.. let a more professional an talented company bring us the game we deserve ..with the respect an attitude that all marvel fans/players deserve not just a dollar sign with no intelligence to insult... funny now that guys like me can say.. we told u so about year ago when BUE came an yet again screwed the players.. now those players that harassed an defended gaz can feel even better together since u are the only ones playing the game lol... priceless... sure ur attitudes will change when either square enix or other highly respected company brings to the top a true ultimate alliance/diablo style marvel game.. hoping that ppl will except u after ur actions in marvel omega...
