Shroud of the Avatar just partnered with
Meretz to promote healthy living and they're rewarding players that sign up with goodies. The
SotA program has only been online for a few minutes and already one of these items was
being sold for 100$ on the player market. It's like Meretz and Portalarium partnered up to give away free money. And players are are cashing in with alts too, Portalarium is allowing it, it seems.
So how does using Meretz help promote gaming fitness? The idea seems legit, but how they make their money is by charging developers per user that signs up to use the service. So Portalarium is paying them per account for players to load up their RMT accounts right now. Hopefully that'll change because it seems like the spirit of the Meretz app is neat, though I'm not completely comfortable with how it works. You have to give them your game account credentials for linking. Anyone here using Meretz anywhere else? Does it help or do people just game it for coins?
