I love games but dont have much time to play (an hour or so in the morning, maby 2 at night.) i was wondering if this game would be fun for someone who doesn't have much time to play. i dont care about being high level or master professtion right away, i usualy like to take my time in MMo's. I used to play this game till about 3 months after release. I want to play again but dont know if the ammount of time i have to play is worth it.

thanks for any opnions you can giveme

    YES.

Especially if you do all the new quests (not standard missions from terminals but the 100+ multi part, multi planet, space/ground mix missions).

Absolutely. I almost never play more than 2 hours, and usually only 1 hour to 1.5 hours a night. Most of the quest content can be done in a night or is staged out in multiple parts so that you can do 1 or 2 parts of the quest a night and have a sense of accomplishment. The "grind", as it were, is not that bad, you can easily get a elite master profession in under a month even only playing 1-2 hours a night. I mastered BH in 2 months back when you had to be Master Scout / Master Marksman, now it's even easier and the BH missions are MUCH quicker because of JTL and shorter shuttle waits and vehicles and mounts.

Pick your server carefully, if not you could spend that hour just looking for a group. Lots of ghosttown servers. Bria seems to be the one new people are joining to play with a larger player base.

I heard bria server is laggy. Are their any other ones that have a decent ammount of players that arn't conciterd the laggy ones? Or is what I heard wrong?

But I really want to play i just need to choose my profession ect. and convince my GF that it's not a waist of money :)

and thanks for the quick replies

Ahazi is okay too. I know a lot of people came over from DAoC to Sunrunner server as well.

Erm... Seeing as every server is now medium population or higher during it's peak time (Based on what time zone it's in) I don't see how you come up with that. All the servers are pretty well populated now. Only time I see servers hit light load is at like 3am for US servers and like 10pm or midnight Eastern for the european ones (That's like 4-6am in Europe by the way).

Pretty much any server is a good choice but if you choose One of the ones mentioned in this thread other than Bria or Ahazi you're pretty much guaranteed to at least know some of us that post here :) I don't recommend bria or ahazi simply because both are so overcrowded.

Bria is infamous for having a lot of players but none that are willing to help (which is a generalization that is not entirely true as you will find Bria players here on the forum willing to help you, but yes, its a VERY "competitive" server ... you either sink or swim on your own).

Its not as important what load the server has that you choose .. its important that you start with people you know and that are willing to help. That way even the server with the least population of them all would be more fun to you than the most crowded ones.

You will find numerous invitations to servers in threads here (check especially the "What server are you playing on" thread in the People and Species section).

    Have fun

TBH SWG now as it stands is catered for those new to MMOs and casual gamers, its been dumbed down from the core upwards so players can pick it up and play for a couple of hours at a time.
