Some of you guys are absolute nutmegs with how you switch on/off your disgust with mainstays/tropes in the genre. Y'all are some unstable mf'ers. XD
Naw, they are just really bored of playing the same classes for 20 years now...
Right, and Crowfall's action combat Rogue is the straw that broke the camels back after 20+ years and Pantheon being the "most anticipated game of 2018".
"As far as the forum code of conduct, I would think it's a bit outdated and in need of a refre *CLOSED*"
I love stealth classes on a toggle. Hate 3 secs of stealth. WoW cat form could run around in stealth all day until discovered or you attacked. SWTOR stealth class had several different types of stealth including one that broke combat and deeper stealth which could be applied to get you the hell out of bad situations. ESO stealth is nice and can stack with vampire natural stealth abilities. GW2 Mesmer used illusions and stealth which is nice. Not a Rogue I know. Played tons more but those are some of the ones I really like. Just sayin' after years of playing different types of Rogues something different would be nice.

I don't think he meant to imply it broke the camel's back, but that it was merely disappointing. These crowdfunded games are being touted as the next coming of innovative Christ by the devs and gamers alike. This announcement was disappointing when viewed from the perspectives these devs themselves want us to view their projects from.
As someone already mentioned the base class kit is not what and how you play, it is the base... with many different disciplines and several race and class abilities and passives, the base class is not where you get uniqueness, the powers that come with the disciplines wildly vary your build to suit your playstyle... you CAN make this guy far different from the base kit. only the 1st 100 of 300 planned disciplines are in the game so far.
Shadowbane which is this games parent had assassins both rogue and mage base... this was pre-WoW so while these devs have been designing games since the MUD days, saying the class copied WoW is flat out silly.
For all the people who are tired of the same old assassin class, what would you want to see in an assassin class? I mean, there will still be some form of stealth, right? Do you have an idea for stealth that hasn't been tried before? Should the assassin not include positional attacks? I'm just curious. It's very easy to say that the class is very similar to assassins in other games, and there is some truth to that regarding the base kit. But if a game is going to move away from the standard, what sorts of abilities should they include?
