This is my first foray into the series. So far I have found it to be overall a fun experience, however, I have 2 things that I didnt like. First, I am not sure if this is a bug for when I go to talk to someone I get maybe 1-2 words then the rest is all text. I can see the NPC's mouths moving but only text no speech... More speech would have made the experience more fun IMO. The second thing is better tutorials with some of the controls and UI.
Worst intro to a game ever...you look bored and offered nothing of value...Let someone who has some energy and the ability to speak demo things.....
I would disagree with this statement. Bill has been the main reason why I come to this site. He provides great insight and doesn't act like a know it all, but more of a guy that genuinely enjoys playing games.
Unless it was Bill's cam or something causing it to look bad,i saw really bad graphics, like everything except close ups of your character ,looked like dithered textures with very low end lighting.
Even if i thought the graphics were good, the combat looks bad,i didn't see anything in customization other than sliders for visuals,so this is imo a very weak effort to build a game.
As i usually predict,it flies out of the gate, players obviously bored with everything else and just jump on the bandwagon of every new game.It is second only behind LOL right now because of some top streamers that never declare sponsored even though we all know they are sponsored all the time, the game will drop right out within a few weeks.
Wizardry what are you currently playing? After all of these years reading your comments I have never asked this question.
The game is good, so good i forgot that the game is chugging along at what i guesstimate to be 20-25 fps in some fights on the shitty base ps4. Despite the performance the game is very good. I Think they made a big mistake holding out on PC.
They're optimizing for PC. And I'm having ZERO framerate stutters on Xbox One X. At all. Everything is looking crisp (so far). I put a couple hundred hours into the MH franchise though and I'm still learning things. I'll eventually figure out the bow "shake" when you hit perfect range. Until then, I'll keep Combo-Axing away. Insect Glaive was another one it too me a while to master, but once I did it just gets addicting.

@Ikeda With combo-axing you are talking about the Switch Axe I assume? How is it in this MH? Its definitely my main weapon but my pre-order got delayed so I am Nerd Raging through the weekend wondering if it still plays as beastly as I remember it from MH3U. Please say yes, please say yes.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

I'm on the old PS4, too, and I get some drops here and there, as well. Nothing too bad though, so far.

Maybe it is called the Switch Axe. I'm not a good judge from that to this because every MH game I pick a weapon I haven't become skilled at to work on. 3U I believe was my hammer/GS combo as it was one of my first forays into MH.
Is there much single player story to this or is it mostly just grind progressively harder instances as you level and gear up? (I only watched about 45 minutes of the stream.)

Story is not ground breaking, but it's alright and should take about 50 hours to finish.

Killed my first Pukei Pukei and Barroth today (solo). The Pukei fight was pretty epic as at one point it turned into a 3-way battle between a Great Jagras, an Anjanath and the Pukei. A truly holy shit moment in the starter zone lol.
