    Meh...

I haven't bought an EA game for a few years now. Not because of any kind of hate, just because they haven't produced anything I've been interested in buying.

Just like the movies these days.

I can never understand the hate against gaming companies. To me it says more about the gamer than the company. I've been gaming for nigh on 35 years and never once been angered by one.
You are the rare exception then, I can't say the same. NCsoft, Zenimax, and a few other's have definitely drawn my ire.

These days I pretty much don't care too much....

I'm more surprised I see no mention of Comcast.
Comcast has improved over the years at least.

EA wouldn't rank on my list as I simply don't buy games with predatory cash shops or DLCs.

To me this a utterly ridiculous thing, people with messed up priorities driving all their attention to petty situations, there are far worse companies that cause realm harm in our society that deserve to be brought up to light and shamed for it, but they get away without much bad publicity because the internet is too busy talking about how EA is the devil. hm

    Quite the popularity contest.

I think it;s ridiculous you think a "most hated" list could be anything but a popularity contest. It's all right there in the title. And I think their rank in is well deserved myself.

Wow even more hated than Comcast or Verizon? Impressive guys, keep it up!

Agreed, didn't see that coming. Shocked CNN didn't make list, so hard to really take list serious.

Because there's no reason for them to be on the list?

I'm going to guess that there are dozens of far more nefarious companies in america than EA.  People just don't care enough to research them.

What Wells Fargo allowed to happen is soo much worse yet EA placed ahead of them.  This country is so self absorbed it's not even funny.

For sure. The more you are in the news the more people will know you and like/hate you. Any decent Evilcorp will stay out of the news as much as possible. I'd like to see a good top 100 evil companies list, but I guess not really in the realm of this site.

Because it's entertainment. That matters a lot to most people than say, environmental issues, or poverty in Africa or similar, it's what allows people to escape the messed up world they live in and forget what's going on "outside".
You take away entertainment from people or make it really bad, and people get angry and mad, so it's not really a surprise that EA ranks this high, since they've been ruining entertainment for people for years, meaning gaming franchises that matter more to people, than other stuff.
