Its like Bungie announcing that they are working on Destiny 3 when Destiny 2 isn't so hot atm....

Division 1 is actually REALLY good now, and this gives me great hopes for a new setting and new mechanics in 2.

What needs fixing? That's not a troll, I haven't played in a while so no idea what's broken.

Honestly, if they are making a 2, I highly doubt that anything that's broken in 1 will get fixed. Especially if it's part of core systems. It just isn't financially worth it to spend the time fixing that when you've got a new version coming out. It's like trying to re-build the first floor of a skyscraper after it's ready built.

Ubisoft really rebounded and fixed a lot of the originals problems. I hope they learned from their mistakes.

Im more excited for this than Anthem that’s for damn sure.

I hope this time they'll make less ugly characters. And maybe less bugs as well.

    Thank you for your time!

Maybe make the first game better, rather than releasing a 'new' game every 2-3 years? Just a thought.

But they did. Now a new game builds on the strengths and improvements of the first one with a better engine.

Man Ubisoft is on fire and not slowing down. They do add to their released games. They just added a very robust free multiplayer pvp mode to Ghost Recon: Wildlands which is a pretty underrated title.

I'll keep an eye on this. I skipped The Division when it released because of the heavy focus on pvp. It still looks like a good game though.

Honestly, if you can pick it up in a bargain bin just for the story, it's worth a play-through. I never really got into the PvP though. Seemed mostly littered with assholes, although I can only assume it's a fairly accurate representation of what a post-apocalyptic America would probably be like.

I Had a hard time getting into the division. Graphics are great, Setting in NYC is immersive and incredibly accurate of the city, Gun play felt tight, yet, something about the game couldnt hold my interest

I missed the holiday sale. I'll keep an eye out for the next one. I think @Octagon7711 recommended it too for similar reasons. Good gun play, good story.

Lol, oh yeah! I forgot this was on PC also. Yes, do it on PC probably. Also, if you manage to find a bargain bin for PC games, take a pic for nostalgia :) I know we have some dollar stores that carry some older ones, just rare though.

Here's the thing though, if the first one is so much improved, why not devote those resources for division 2 into more dlc for division 1. I mean Destiny 1 supposedly became a better game over time yet they release Destiny 2 with half of Destiny 1's improvements. Its just better to expand on what's working vs trying to get greedy with something else. Just make an expansion introducing a new city or something if anything.

I've fired it up again, but this time on PS4. And man, this is a nice game.

I've discovered something interesting about myself. Recently, any game I play on PS4, I enjoy a lot. I think when it comes down to PC I get over-analytical. When it's console, I'm just there for some good old fun. But PC, well, I am inhabiting virtual worlds and that is serious business! ;)

Ubisoft is my current favorite multi-game company. They're doing much better. And every sequel they have made has improved.

Did they ever add the cool tablet controlled drone they showed in the very first gameplay teaser? That almost had me sold till I heard they couldn't get the tech ironed out in time for launch.

@BillMurphy - high level, isn't this the same thought you had w/ Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, where you thought they should have added to D1, with all of the content that came with it, instead of starting from scratch again? What would make The Division different here?
  • ShattenShatten Member UncommonPosts: 40
hmm massive ent and ubisoft shanghai... got a feeling that its going to similar to call of duty online. funny that they call it the division 2 without tom clancy. since massive ent is leading is something like stamina system going to be in the game? maybe a pc exclusive?

They should name the sequel The Long Division.
