Hello, I just got SWG and its awesome! thanks for sugesting it guys (my earlier post was 'casual gamer' and my gf is just going to play also

anyways i had a few questions

I use first person shooter style (controls) and when i press S or the down arrow it runs forward. why is this and is there a way to fix this?

I dont have a joystick (i use the mouse for space) but i have to go into the options everytime and switch interted on, then when i come back to the planet i neet to switch back. is thiere a way to make it so its just inverted in space and not on the ground? (this is really bothering me)

I had real big problems with my controls, had to reinstall the game (delete it from the directory after too). It was perfect after that Found out that my controls are always mucked up if i close the launchpad while updating!

 

Doesn't whe mouse wheel scroll in and out of first and third person? If not then probally reinstall

In the options menu  (CTRL-O) .. Keymap menu .. check out which mode and Keyboard map you like best. I think they offer half a dozen types.

I finallly figured out how to make 'S' work to run backwards (I use the first person setup.) I just pressed the '.'  on the numberpad and it took camera chase mode off or something.

But I still can't figure out the space thing... maby I'll get a joystick or something, or just live with it.

I just started playing also. You should hop on the Naritus server with YCS and hit up Novarider to check out the guild I just joined. Very nice bunch of peeps.
