When I travel to the Oasis, I will not be seeing many of you.  Sadly, It's full loot PvP which wipes out many non 'hardcore' pvp'ers.  However, there appear to be safe zones, so that will get rid of a large group of 'hardcore' PvPers.  It looks like you can have immersion breaking skins and they definitely have micro transactions.  Boy did that guy not know the community for 'worlds'.

Just a bit of fun... don't beat me up too bad.

A Fun movie, I recommend it :)

I've read the book twice, and listened to the audiobook three times. I believe the book is better than the move, I usually do 98% of the time, but I enjoyed the movie at the theaters twice in IMAX and standard.

The book just hit the perfect tone with me, and brought back so many awesome memories from my childhood, which followed just a few years behind Halliday's it seems.

Things were so much better in the early 80's!!

If I worked for Halliday though, he would've probably fired me, because even though I experienced a lot of things he loved, I'm horrible with names and wouldn't've been able to follow him too far down the rabbit hole with spouting off facts....but the level of love was still there!

I hope that Cline sticks to his original lore for Ready Player Two, and doesn't let the directions/story of the movie shape what he originally had in mind for the book.

Also, I would recommend reading/listening to Armada and then RPO, as I'm not sure of the actual writing timeline, but Armada was good and all but Cline really hit his stride in RPO.

I'd be happy to read of side stories of other parts of the OASIS, and its possibilities as well.

I'd really love an Open World MMORPG  OASIS game NOW with current tech, and would love to just explore that world with a regular KB&M, and immerse myself in all the possible stories.

    Gut Out!

Are we really so pathetically lazy some people type "rdy" as a replacement for "ready"?

And wow... what a flop that movie was. It was interesting, cool and terrible all at the same time.

I wish I would have not read the book first, like most "movie adaptations." It was a good, fun movie that missed a lot (I thought) of the essence of the book and the Gunters.

I have a great "romp through the 80's" whenever I read it and when I heard about the movie, I wondered how many problems they'd have getting rights for so much "real references" :)

I had not heard about the new book and agree with your hope about "cannon" changes.

In general about "movies/shows based on books", I understand some changes need to be made for length of movie or continuity in the time allotted, but when people ADD content, I just shake my head and think, "Yea, there's not an artist alive that can't say no to putting their own touch or vision on whatever they're recreating." I guess it's ego?

PS: @mgilbrtsn, we may meet in the PvE zones ;)

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

    Peppy gambling fully drawn quest,
intriguingly reminiscent of a series about Indiana Jones,
heroes need to solve puzzles, moving towards the goal.
also if someone needs to write an essay I advise http://essaylab.co.uk/
