Scenery visuals are ok for a game being developed in UE4, but they REALLY need to focus development on combat/gameplay before attending to game events.
It's 2018, people surely expect gameplay combat to be better than WoW... and at the current display, they don't even have that.
Showing us a QUEST,do they even know how bored we are of npc's with a ? over their head offering a quest?
Mobs just standing there like they spent 10 secs plotting them in for the show.
I got ONE positive from that video,NO quest markers is a plus but using the Ranger skill to do the exact same thing is not changing much.

Some will think, wait a minute, they want to make money, yeah maybe so but how does that matter to me the gamer who wants a great game to play, like them making money means nothing to me.
To be honest, watching the video,i got ZERO indication of how combat is,the structure, the mobs, their resistances, accuracy etc etc.
Are there ammo slots, can you craft multiple types of ammo or just another cheap KR looking game with a world and some mobs and no depth.
You know what i have seen in this market the last 5 years or so ,instead of making really good games i see cute pets, giant mobs, dinosaur themes, everything is a cute gimmick but no quality fo game design.
Like i said i can't even judge the combat because i didn't see anything and these videos almost NEVER have a narrator that tells us all the cool stuff going on ,all i got from the video was lots of giggling and the kills looked rather easy non intuitive.
Go fight a Yagudo as a level 3-4 in Saruta FFXi and you'll get tougher combat than in that video.
on the markers idea, the point is NOT to scour the internet ,the idea behind a real quest is to DISCOVER it for yourself,it should not be an EASY simple mindless mechanic to get xp or loot.

For those who dont get it, this is not a finished product and most of what u see is a PLACEHOLDER.
Intrepid idea from the beginning was to be transparent to show the community what the game looks on day 1 and updating us throughout the entire development.
I watched and I don't mind the combat. I like tab target less action orientated but the PvP turns me off.
Its still in development so I will continue to follow. I don't like the character models, animation, combat or world design as of right now.
When I first saw the video showing the node system the game got my attention but since then everything they have shown has looks sub par.
Again, I know the game is still in development so I am not passing final judgement.
You make a good point, but it's a bit saddening to have to do that. Don't get me wrong, all us gamers (at least those of us who have been doing this for a while) are susceptible to hype, but that's because we love to get excited about upcoming games, or changes to existing ones, or what have you. With the technology available today, as I said it is somewhat disheartening to realize that your expectations may never be met. Devs and publishers are creating games that are eons beyond what we had in the past, technically speaking, but sorely lacking in some very basic areas, and I think lots of us just want to know why some of those basic things are being ignored.

I think that's something one experiences.
Playing Baseball is more fun than watching Baseball. I imagine that can be said for a lot of things, video games included.
Or better said, there are things going on when one plays that might not be apparent by just watching.
