[New Skill Tree!] And How I Think It Might Work!

I just made a thorough breakdown on the New Skill Trees in Bless, and how I think each component will end up working!

For those of you that would rather read, I will summarize my thoughts.

I am basing everything off of this image:

1.) Stances: I think that Stances will work sort of like Weapon Swap in GW2 or ESO.
     - Stances will likely have passive attributes attached to them, that affect your playstyle.
     - You pick 2 stances out of the 6 at a given time.
     - Stances will either have pre-determined Core Skills attached to them, or you will be able to choose which Core Skill goes with your selected Stances.

2.) Core Skills: Core Skills are the start of each Combo Chain, based on the identity of these Skills it is very likely skills were completely reworked. Because, none of these skills would be good Combo Openers.
    - You get 3 Core Skills per stance, so effectively it seems you will have 6 Core Skills.

3.) Gem Slots: If you look really close to the side of the Chain Skills and the Core Skills you can see little circles, these are Gem Slots.
    - Gem Slots are replacing the old point system, you will now slot gems to upgrade skills.
    - Gems will likely alter the effects of abilities, but could also end up just being standard things like scaling and cdr.

4.) General Skills:  You can choose 4 General Skills at a time. This is part of a quote from the update about selecting skills, "as well as four general skills that will go well with their class."
    - The way it is worded, it seems that General Skills could come from a pool that all classes have access to.
    - In the Screenshot 3 of the Skills have icons that were Mage Skills, and 1 icon I have not seen before.
    - They could end up being Class Specific.
    - These will very likely be similar to the Utility Skills in GW2.

PvP is one of the core aspects. But there are some single player elements like the Main Story Quest. Though a lot of that will be in the Open World where you will see other players.

Nice.  Its great to see someone take a look at and think about an actual rpg system of character development.  I haven't paid much, if any, to this game since I assumed it was more of the same that has been coming out for the last long while - a children's game made for children to watch, not adults to play with actual systems of note.  When is this game coming out?

Edit - and yes, I know the system seems lite compared to the best the genre has to offer from when mmorpgs were made for adults, but this is much better than what the popular ones of today have.

Thanks! It does seem like it has the potential to offer a lot of depth, it all depends on the specifics we have yet to learn. The game goes into early access this May! No exact date yet.

Which is why its fascinating that with a month or so to go you are having to guess at how it will work.

Thanks for the write ups, great for those of us who are video averse.

I know it's pretty crazy, PR is definitely something I wish was more robust!

No problem, can't wait till the content I am creating is with the fresh gameplay though! :p

I also tried to embed the video here for those that suggested that, but ultimately I failed. My forum html no bueno.

I would like to see how this combo system works playing a healer.

But i have one concern i just hope it's not too hard to combo, This senetence from dev talk 3 has me a little worried.

    • In combat, there is more action and it has gotten more difficult due to the new dynamic combo system. Depending on how good a player is at making combos, they can bring out the full potential of their class.

The game doesn't have a lot of endgame PVE content there is more PVP content than PVE.

The game doesn't take long to get to endgame either probably about 1 - 2 weeks leveling from what people have said.

Raids and dungeons at endgame there is 1 endgame dungeon and 1 raid but there is dungeons as you level.

    http://bless-source.com/forum/index.php/Thread/2829-Guide-Dungeons/

Can't find a guide for the raid but many people have said there is only 1.

There is crafting but the system isn't as in depth as other crafting systems and you can have NPC's craft for you.

     http://bless-source.com/forum/index.php/Thread/2838-Guide-Crafting/

Then there is pet and mount taming which seems basic.

Some of the guides might be outdated but give a rough guide.

Also the game is open world PVP and even though they're adding this item which makes you immune to PVP, I'm not 100% sure it will work in certain areas.

Because there is an area with elite in and i think it has PVP dailies, maybe someone can correct me on that one or has more details.

This is in the Frequently asked questions on steam about the item that makes you immune to PVP.

    • Will the “avoid PVP” item be something from the cash shop, or something all players can obtain without spending real cash?
    • Players can purchase the “avoid PVP” item with in-game currency. It will be easier to purchase it during the early stages for an undisturbed gameplay experience than the max level because we think that if a max level player can easily evade PvP or RvR (Important elements in Bless Online) then it will no longer be any fun.

There are 2 End Game Dungeons on JPN, but there are many more on Original Korea. On the JPN version, the first end game dungeon is Nigra Turis which is a lvl 43 dungeon.

On the KR Rebuild server without gear this dungeon is hard enough that it is like progressing through a Raid. You have to work your way up to clearing each boss by learning the mechanics, getting your execution down, and even gearing your way up to be able to beat the dungeon. Also, the trash is really hard as you go through. This doesn't play out like a normal dungeon, it takes time. So lots of replay value.

I am hopeful that along with the combat changes, PvE difficulty changes, those two by themselves will make it the right amount of difficulty. Though, I also hope that they fixed some of the Gear Scaling issues on JPN that ended up trivializing a lot of the PvE content.

Then you have the next Level 45 Hard Mode Dungeon, which without gear trivializing things I believe would be harder than Nigra Turis.

Then you have the 10 Man Raid and the 5 man Easy Mode Dungeon of the Raid "I would liken this to a story mode dungeon you see in other games, that allow non-raiders to experience the content. Beyond that, you have the major World Boss that has a chance to drop legendaries. This will mostly be PvPvE, but I guess if you had a hardcore group that was geared enough you might be able to sneak it before you are noticed? Would be kind of hard, because the boss has A LOT of HP, I think to make it so that it is naturally contested. He also has some okay mechanics as well.

They also have stated there will be more raids added, and there are also World PvE events that are big for progressing your character. However, these also turn into PvPvE.
