Age Of Conan Necro has one of the best Necros around.  I remember the Dev was so proud of him he posted a lot about it in the forums and must have fought for it because he never got a nerf. :)

GW2 Necro, high survival and very flexible, can be specced with or without pets.   Diablo 2 and 3 has pretty good Necro.  Skyforge has an interesting to play Necro. WoWs DK is OK also.  Waiting for ESO to do a Necro.  L2 has a pretty powerful Necro. Rift has a Necro soul under Mage I think.  Aion has a Spirit Master but calling him a Necro would be stretch even though he can summon and has lots of fears and debuffs.

I get too bored playing necro in path of exile, my next character, is going to be a new one I made, gonna try something new. Or I can remake my flicker, it is such a lovely build, too bad I died early by being dumb with it. Hardcore is the only way to play that game
Bored ... what lvl did you get to .. did you finish the story thru chp  10 and the Epilogue on Merciless?

Well, i did with a cyclone on hardcore SSF mode i believe. I think. Ugh no, i get too bored with necros but i know they rock in PoE. My next build is gonna focus on poison, whenever, i end my video game hiatus or PoE starts a new season, whichever comes first, but man i hate leveling so much.

Seriously, HC is the best way to play the game.

SSF won't work for me I have horrid luck for gear. Every unique piece I have found is sold on poe trade for like one alteration or  5 alteration if I am lucky. Hardcore I would probably die as soon as I meet the first boss in Act 1<-------- poor player here. Thoroughly spoilt by starting with the necromancer , play a necromancer at your peril or molten strike every other class combination will look weak in comparison. More balls  :p quoting Engineering Eternity.

You know what kills me when I first started it was the traps not the bosses I have to agree. I just was so terrible. I have since improved (thank heavens). The pets though spoilt me because I do not have to aim. Any class where I have to aim tried a barrage ranger gave up quickly. I am a bad player.

That is why I enjoy playing minion classes. The blink arrow and mirage arrow traps minion build is fun for me because it is less brain dead than my usual necromancer but no aiming really, well, almost none have to make sure the mobs step on the traps. Totem based classes also I found fun and mine and trap based. Note the thread that runs through all these - no aiming.

No one was more surprised than me to have done cruel lab on the first run and no death. Yes improved by leaps and bounds. Problem was to get there you know the three dungeon trials one of them the one in Fellshrine Ruins act 7 I think I died like 5 times until I got a proper movement skill and not one with delays. Hardcore no way I can do it.

The Secret World has Necro.  If you want something different, it uses Blood magic and an assault rifle.

Also Diablo 3 and Lineage 2 have decent ones.

Secret World Online, GW2, WOW are a few I can think of and have played.  I really enjoyed GW1 and 2's character class as both were easy to solo with anywhere.  Secret World is just a different game that is enjoyable and there are so many combo options that are interesting you may wind up making your own kind of necro.   I also forgot to mention Diablo 3 as well.  Right now its very strong and super easy to play.

I've been waiting for ESO to add a Necro Class for a very long time.

i don't see it ever happening. They'd be hated by all, basically would be a raid boss. Especially if Skyrim ever comes to ESO. No way the Nords would let you live if you're resurrecting their friends and family.

Nice thread necro, more than 2 months :+1:

That's not a fit, TSW's premades were more just outfits and a theme with a flavour text. There was no necromancer class, just as Illusionist, Bounty Hunter, Gunslinger, etc. were too just themes and outfits, not classes.

The necromancer deck was a rifle-based leech healer deck, the blood was only there for somehow validate the theme. Not to mention blood had nothing necromancer-ish, it was closer to the S/M mechanic of the DT in AoC.

What Mighty, Scavenger and the others mean under necro (life manipulation, dark magic, undeads, minions, etc.) TSW had none at the player's side. Game didn't have combat pets at all until the Museum arrived, and even the mnemonics were just an afterthought, not really pets. Necromancers were usually on the enemy side. As Montag said: "Necromancy is a dog and pony show."
    (boy I miss that game...)
