Next year, Defenders of the Dream will be saying the same things. Because Star Citizen will still be an unfinished mess, with many shiny cinematic bits amidst a bunch of non-working elements. Just like it's been for years. Bad management will do that.....

Next year we will have the same comments from few not understanding the basic of game development, pretending that an Alpha must be equal to a polished released product and providing their universal internet expertise about management and business to Seniors developers that did released many good and successful projects during past 20 years...
With current Alpha 3.1.4 even most past nay-sayers recognise noticeable improvement about overall performance... and this is the first patch of the year.
2018 bringing 3 more major patch (and smaller ones), one of them bringing the planet size-cities Hurston, seen during last CitizenCon.
Something that was NEVER possible according to some... The same "experts" comparing Alpha phase to a Gold release
This is coming. If you can't stand true Alpha development phase, just stay away. No problem.

It's the 6th patch of the year.
You're again trying to do some very creative counting where some small patches are counted and some aren't depending on whether it suits your agenda.
I am sick and tired of reading about these concept ship updates.
All those who are interested are probably subscribed to their youtube account.
Please stop posting this uninteresting stuff.
On that note, I dont mind reading about big content updates and upgrades they do, Just keep the ship sales off, please, I beg you!!
I come here for most of my SC info. I find it interesting, sorry
The constant advertising of ships is interesting, you have low standards for gaming news.Personally i can't stand ANY advertising ,no matter the developer or the website. The topic for all is GAMING,if the SC team has something to tell people of an incoming release, that would be great news to many.
BTW,ftr Chris Roberts has NEVER proven a competent boss, matter of fact he basically acknowledged it when he said that it takes DEEP pockets behind the developer to see a game come through. This was mentioned in lieu of his past developing and having Micrososft backing him up when he missed deadlines badly.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

... not even close.
3.1.4 means current Alpha for those loading live PU. This is an information nothing more nothing less. By the .4 equal to 4 small patch added to correct some 3.1.0 bugs or performance.
And 3 more major patch = 1 per quarter hence 3 till end of 2018.
It looks like YOU have an agenda boy but I have only... a calendar and factual numbers. Figuring out an agenda while all information are provided really you are desperate. There is no conspiracy

... keep spreading obfuscation. Trying to compare a project to another, which 2 decades away with totally different techs, funding (kickstarter), team size and overall improved graphic software development is just out of context.
Whatever you can say about CR is always ending to reality: All his projects have been delivered to Gamers and they remember to have been impressed each time compared to what others developers released at this time.
He never let gamers down, that is the most important.
Vaporware, jpges and scam fade out with 3.0 (even trolls do have some type of self-respect) still a handfull of guys are talking about competency.... Facts boy... facts. Those +184M$ and growing are coming from old gamers who remember precisely what CR did as well as new comers who can test current 3.1.4 and see published roadmap.
Fact is, it's nowhere near feature complete, much less content complete. And that's comparing what they have to the 135th revision from CR and CIG about what feature and content complete even means.

You'r missing my point. My point is that your message reads like "3.1.4 is the first patch of the year. 2018 will bring 3 more major patches and smaller ones".
